Toxicological Evaluation of the Roots of Ficus pandurata Hance var. angustifolia Cheng

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 14, Issue 6, June 2026.
Toxicological evaluation of the roots of Ficus pandurata Hance var. angustifolia Cheng for safe utilization. Two‐year‐old RFPH roots were prepared as an aqueous extract powder, with 1 g equivalent to 30 g of raw material. Acute oral toxicity, genotoxicity, teratogenicity, and 90‐day repeated‐dose oral toxicity tests were performed in SD rats and ICR ...

DKK1 Targeting in Corneal Schwann Cells Rescues Axonal Regeneration and Mechanosensory Function After Corneal Injury

open access: yesJournal of Neuroscience Research, Volume 104, Issue 6, June 2026.
The schematic illustrates that corneal injury imparted by a stromal incision or by toxic chemical exposure causes corneal Schwann cells (cSCs) and axons to degenerate rapidly, resulting in impaired mechanosensory function. We hypothesized that repair cSCs, which develop post injury, are an as‐yet‐untested cellular target for axonal regeneration.
