Enhancing Imperceptibility: Zero-width Character-based Text Steganography for Preserving Message Privacy

open access: yesActa Informatica Pragensia
Background: Text steganography preserves the privacy of secret messages by hiding them in cover text. However, existing text steganography techniques embed messages by introducing distortions in text, reducing the similarity between the cover and ...

Computational Methods of Digital Steganography

open access: yesIzvestiya of Altai State University
The paper reviews current digital steganography techniques for photo and video content. It introduces a neural-network algorithm for covert data transmission in video streams. The architecture of computational methods blends 2D and 3D convolutions: the 2D layers preserve fine frame details, while the 3D layer averages features across three neighboring ...

Design and analysis strategies for robust microbiome ageing research

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The gut microbiome changes with age and associates with age‐related morbidity and mortality, establishing it as a potential biomarker and intervention target for ageing. Realising this potential requires methodological rigour, yet distinguishing biological signals from methodological artefacts remains challenging across cohorts. This review provides an

AscF in the mycobacterial CIII–CIV supercomplex lacks metal and nucleotide binding but links malate oxidation to respiration

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The mycobacterial CIII‐CIV respiratory supercomplex is an obligate assembly, encompassing several subunits of unknown functions. We have characterized the intracellular subunit AscF, and show that it is unlikely to be a sensor for metals or nucleotides, but is required for growth on nonfermentable energy sources, and likely works as an adapter for ...

The role of miR‐335‐5p in the redifferentiation of BRAF p.V600E thyroid cancers

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The BRAF p.V600E mutation promotes thyroid cancer dedifferentiation and radioiodine resistance. Using a network approach, we identified miR‐335‐5p as a key regulator of BRAF‐mutated thyroid tumors. Restoring miR‐335‐5p increased thyroid‐specific gene expression and iodine uptake in cells and organoids.

Circular RNA expression landscapes in myelodysplastic neoplasms: Associations with mutational signatures and disease progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In this explorative study, the abundance of circular RNA molecules in bone marrow stem cells was found to be elevated in patients with high‐risk myelodysplastic neoplasms, and to be associated with an increased risk of progression to acute myeloid leukemia.

A New Steganography Method Based on the Complex Pixels

open access: yesJournal of Information Security, 2012
Today steganography has attracted the attention of many researchers. In this paper, we propose a new steganography method for secure Data communication on half tone pictures. Using the halftone pictures improve the security and capacity. In this method, the complexity of every pixel in picture is computed, then a neibourhood is defined to compute the ...

EDNRB‐dependent endothelin signaling reduces proliferation and promotes proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition in gliomas

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated

Unified Evaluation System for Audio Steganography Methods

open access: yesScientific Journal of Riga Technical University. Computer Sciences, 2011
The interest in the digital steganography grows together with the rise of amounts of multimedia data exchanged over the Internet. This growth provides steganography with new possibilities and opportunities for data hiding. The information hiding in audio streams is considered especially promising due to audio data popularity and possibilities to hide ...
