Social Comparison and Its Association With Disordered Eating Symptoms: A Systematic Review and Meta‐Analysis

open access: yesInternational Journal of Eating Disorders, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Social comparison has been widely implicated in the etiology and maintenance of body dissatisfaction and eating disorders. At the same time, however, the magnitude of this relationship remains unclear, with existing studies varying widely in methodology, measurement, and sample characteristics.

Efficacy of the Intervention Against the Stigmatization of Men With Eating Disorders in Primary Healthcare (iSMEsH): Results From a Randomized Waitlist‐Controlled Study

open access: yesInternational Journal of Eating Disorders, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Eating disorders (EDs) in men are underdiagnosed and undertreated, partly due to stigma hindering help‐seeking. This randomized waitlist‐controlled study tested the efficacy of the iSMEsH online anti‐stigma intervention targeting German general practitioners (GPs) and medical students.

Habitat complexity and prey composition shape an apex predator's habitat use across contrasting landscapes

open access: yesEcography, EarlyView.
The spatial ecology of stalk‐and‐ambush predators like the Eurasian lynx Lynx lynx depends on prey availability and environmental features, yet the relative roles of these factors remain unclear at large spatial scales. In this study, we analysed lynx habitat use across central and southern Finland using snow‐track data from the Wildlife Triangle ...

La presencia de Dios en el castillo interior. En torno a la complementariedad de la antropología mística de Santa Teresa de Jesús y la antropología fenomenológica de Edith Stein / The presence of God in the interior castle. On the complementarity of mystic anthropology of Santa Teresa de Jesus and Edith Stein’s phenomenological anthropology

open access: yesValenciana, 2018
El artículo tiene el propósito de mostrar los principales puntos de encuentro entre la antropología mística de Santa Teresa de Jesús y la antropología fenomenológica de Edith Stein, en lo tocante a la comprensión del alma.

Expanded Scorpionate and Siderophore‐Inspired Ligands: From Foundational Designs to Modern Applications

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Inorganic Chemistry, EarlyView.
The concept of scorpionate ligands has evolved significantly since the introduction of tris(pyrazolyl)borate. By integrating a biological supramolecular ligand scaffold with the classic scorpionate architecture, researchers have made notable strides in mimicking the active sites of nitrogenase and advancing homogeneous catalysis.

Higher order expansions via Stein method

open access: yes, 2014
This paper is a sequel of \cite{CD:2012}. We show how to establish a functional Edgeworth expansion of any order thanks to the Stein method. We apply the procedure to the Brownian approximation of compensated Poisson process and to the linear interpolation of the Brownian motion.

Abnormal functional connectivity patterns in temporal lobe epilepsy—An international ENIGMA‐epilepsy study

open access: yesEpilepsia Open, EarlyView.
Abstract Objectives Temporal lobe epilepsy (TLE) impacts multiple brain networks. Aberrant functional connectivity has been demonstrated in resting‐state networks (RSNs) that mediate higher brain functions in TLE. This study aimed to identify the reproducible patterns of altered functional connectivity in TLE in a large, international cohort through ...

Newton-Stein Method: An optimization method for GLMs via Stein's Lemma

open access: yes, 2015
We consider the problem of efficiently computing the maximum likelihood estimator in Generalized Linear Models (GLMs) when the number of observations is much larger than the number of coefficients ($n \gg p \gg 1$). In this regime, optimization algorithms can immensely benefit from approximate second order information.

Stein’s method, smoothing and functional approximation

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Probability
Stein's method for Gaussian process approximation can be used to bound the differences between the expectations of smooth functionals $h$ of a càdlàg random process $X$ of interest and the expectations of the same functionals of a well understood target random process $Z$ with continuous paths.

How do US Adults Who Vape Choose Among Different E‐Cigarette (EC) Models and Cigarettes in Response to Prices and Taxes

open access: yesHealth Economics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT States continue to impose E‐Cigarette (EC) taxes without clear evidence of the cross‐price elasticities between multiple EC types and between ECs and cigarettes. Moreover, existing literature focused on EC sales or prevalence outcomes instead of consumption units of various EC types.
