AN INTEGRAL FORMULA WITH OPERATIONAL MAPPING FUNCTIONS IN STEIN MANIFOLD
In this paper, an integral formula with operational mapping functions and real parameters in Stein manifold is obtained.According to this formula ...

Computing Skinning Weights via Convex Duality
We present an alternate optimization method to compute bounded biharmonic skinning weights. Our method relies on a dual formulation, which can be optimized with a nonnegative linear least squares setup. Abstract We study the problem of optimising for skinning weights through the lens of convex duality.

Scalable Computation of Topological Abstractions for Scalar Data
Abstract Topological data analysis has become an important tool for large scale scalar data analysis and visualization, efficiently extracting the inherent structure and features of interest of the data. However, with growing dataset sizes and complexity, it is increasingly becoming infeasible to compute topological abstractions of interest in serial ...

A Note on L^2 Estimates for the ∂^^ーOperator on a Stein Manifold
Two results concerning the ∂ operator on a Stein manifold are obtained. We construct a strictly plurisubharmonic function. First one is the existence of solutions of the ∂ equation in the weighted L2 space of the weight diminshed by the function.

Positive open book decompositions of Stein fillable 3-manifolds along prescribed links
It is known by Loi and Piergallini that a closed, oriented, smooth 3-manifold is Stein fillable if and only if it has a positive open book decomposition.

Evaluating synthetic substitutes to reduce illegal harvesting and support species recovery
Abstract Providing synthetic substitutes is a widely promoted strategy to shift consumer demand away from wildlife products derived from threatened species. Yet, there is little evidence on whether product substitution prevents illegal or unsustainable harvesting and contributes to the recovery of threatened populations.

The Effect of Traffic Congestion on Labour Investment Efficiency
ABSTRACT The study examines the effects of headquarters‐city traffic congestion on labour investment efficiency. The results indicate that firms headquartered in congested cities may engage in inefficient labour investment decisions. Further analysis indicates that the inefficiency is associated with both overinvestment and underinvestment in labour ...

A Stein Criterion Via Divisors for Domains Over Stein Manifolds
It is shown that a domain $X$ over a Stein manifold is Stein if the following two conditions are fulfilled: a) the cohomology group $H^i(X,\mathscr{O})$ vanishes for $i \geq 2$ and b) every topologically trivial holomorphic line bundle over $X$ admits a ...

It is known that every compact Stein 4-manifolds can be embedded into a simply connected, minimal, closed, symplectic 4-manifold. By using this property, we discuss a new method of constructing corks. This method generates a large class of new corks including all the previously known ones. We prove that every one of these corks can knot infinitely many
