Stellar magnetic field manifestations: flares
Understanding stellar magnetic fields is crucial to understanding the structure and evolution of stars. Stellar magnetic fields manifest in many different ways, on many different time scales. In this talk discuss one manifestations of magnetic fields on cool stars: stellar flares.

Testing the Reality of Strong Magnetic Fields on T Tauri Stars: The Naked T Tauri Star Hubble 4
High resolution optical and infrared (IR) echelle spectra of the naked (diskless) T Tauri star Hubble 4 are presented. The K band IR spectra include 4 Zeeman sensitive Ti I lines along with several magnetically insensitive CO lines.

Objective We aimed to validate the Pediatric Arthritis Ultrasound Scoring System (PAUSS) for upper extremity joints in children with juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA). Methods Children with JIA were evaluated for elbow, wrist, or finger arthritis by clinical examination (CE) and musculoskeletal ultrasound (MSUS) with images scored according to the ...

Monitoring and modelling of white dwarfs with extremely weak magnetic fields
Magnetic fields are detected in a few percent of white dwarfs. The number of such magnetic white dwarfs known is now some hundreds. Fields range in strength from a few kG to several hundred MG. Almost all the known magnetic white dwarfs have a mean field

Systemic sclerosis (SSc) is a rare autoimmune disease defined by immune dysregulation, vasculopathy, and progressive fibrosis of the skin and internal organs. Despite advances in care, major complications such as interstitial lung disease (ILD) and myocardial involvement remain the leading causes of morbidity and mortality.

Rotation and magnetic activity of oscillating solar-like stars with the Kepler mission
For the last few decades the investigation of stellar magnetic activity has been conducted through spectroscopic and spectropolarimetric surveys. This led not only to the detection of magnetic cycles in other stars but also to variable and magnetic ...

ErB4 and NdB4 nanostructured powders are produced by mechanochemical synthesis. 5 h mechanical alloying and 4 M HCl acid leaching are used in the production. ErB4 and NdB4 powders exhibit maximum magnetization of 0.4726 emu g−1 accompanied with an antiferromagnetic‐to‐paramagnetic phase transition at about TN = 18 K and 0.132 emu g−1 with a maximum at ...
