Geographic variation in walking activity in the red flour beetle Tribolium castaneum
This study examined whether there is geographic variation in field populations, focusing on the moving activity in the red flour beetle Tribolium castaneum. Results showed significant differences in moving activity among field populations but no correlation with latitude or meteorological factors.

The Galaxy Population of Abell 1367: The Stellar Mass-Metallicity Relation
Using wide baseline broad-band photometry, we analyse the stellar population properties of a sample of 72 galaxies, spanning a wide range of stellar masses and morphological types, in the nearby spiral-rich and dynamically young galaxy cluster Abell 1367.

Stellar population models at high spectral resolution [PDF]
We present new, high-to-intermediate spectral resolution stellar population models, based on four popular libraries of empirical stellar spectra, namely Pickles, ELODIE, STELIB and MILES.

BREATHING FIRE: HOW STELLAR FEEDBACK DRIVES RADIAL MIGRATION, RAPID SIZE FLUCTUATIONS, AND POPULATION GRADIENTS IN LOW-MASS GALAXIES [PDF]
We examine the effects of stellar feedback and bursty star formation on low-mass galaxies (Mstar = 2 × 106 − 5 × 1010 M⊙) using the Feedback in Realistic Environments (FIRE) simulations.

occumb: An R package for site occupancy modeling of eDNA metabarcoding data
This study introduces a new R package, occumb, for the convenient application of site occupancy modeling using environmental DNA (eDNA) metabarcoding data. We outline a data analysis workflow, including data setup, model fitting, model assessment, and comparison of potential study settings based on model predictions, all of which can be performed using

A possible signature of primordial stellar populations in $z=3$ Lyman $\alpha$ emitters
Observations with Subaru telescope have detected surprisingly strong Lyman continuum (LyC; $\sim900$ \AA\ in the rest-frame) from some Lyman $\alpha$ emitters (LAEs) at $z=3.1$.

A PUBLIC Ks-SELECTED CATALOG IN THE COSMOS/UltraVISTA FIELD: PHOTOMETRY, PHOTOMETRIC REDSHIFTS, AND STELLAR POPULATION PARAMETERS, [PDF]
We present a catalog covering 1.62 deg2 of the COSMOS/UltraVISTA field with point-spread function (PSF) matched photometry in 30 photometric bands. The catalog covers the wavelength range 0.15–24 μm including the available GALEX, Subaru, Canada–France ...

Dendritic cells steering antigen and leukocyte traffic in lymph nodes
Dendritic cells are key players in the activation of T cells and their commitment to effector function. In this In a Nutshell Review, we will discuss how dendritic cells guide the trafficking of antigen and leukocytes in the lymph node, thus influencing T‐cell activation processes. Dendritic cells (DCs) play a central role in initiating and shaping the
