Parallaxes and Proper Motions of Long Period Variable Stars Determined from VLBI and Gaia DR3
Annual parallaxes of Galactic long period variable stars (LPVs) are essential for determining their distances and intrinsic properties, but their measurement remains challenging because of their large stellar sizes, circumstellar matter, and time ...

Low‐Angle Grain Boundaries and Re‐Segregation in Single‐Crystalline Ni‐Base Superalloys
This work demonstrates that Re‐segregation at low‐angle grain boundaries (LAGBs) in Ni‐base superalloys is influenced by misorientation angle. Advanced microscopy and atom probe tomography reveal that higher misorientation angles increases Re‐segregation.

The extraordinary frequency pattern variation in δ Scuti stars
Inspection of the periodograms of TESS delta Scuti stars indicates that there is little, if any, similarity between the frequencies of stars in the same region of the H-R diagram.

Test of a new method for seismic indices and granulation parameters extraction
In the framework of the data base project SSI (Stellar Seismic Indicesb), we have developed and tested a new method aiming at optimizing the simultaneous measurement of both the seismic indices characterizing the oscillations (Δν, νmax) and the indices ...

Pulsation and Mass Loss Across the H-R Diagram: From OB Stars to Cepheids to Red Supergiants
Both pulsation and mass loss are commonly observed in stars and are important ingredients for understanding stellar evolution and structure, especially for massive stars.

This paper presents a novel approach to reducing oxide layers on metal powders using low‐temperature hydrogen dielectric barrier discharge plasmas at atmospheric pressure. Unlike conventional hydrogen‐plasma reductions, the powders do not contact the plasma directly.

Observational Properties of β Cephei Stars: 88 New Samples Discovered Based on TESS and Gaia Data
We present a systematic investigation of β Cephei (BCEP) stars by integrating photometric data from the Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS) with astrometric parameters from Gaia Data Release 3.

Pulsation and mass loss in Mira variables
The behavior of pulsation in the outer layers of a typical Mira variable was studied in the adiabatic and isothermal limits. A shock wave propagates outward once per period and the radial velocity obtained from observations of hydrogen emission lines is ...
