DESC: A stellarator equilibrium solver
The new code DESC is presented to solve for fixed-boundary ideal magnetohydrodynamic equilibria in stellarators. The approach directly solves the equilibrium force balance as a system of nonlinear equations in the form f ( x ) = 0.
