MicroRNA‐33 and SIRT1 influence the coronary thrombus burden in hyperglycemic STEMI patients
Journal of Cellular Physiology, 2020Primary percutaneous coronary intervention (PPCI) is a pivotal treatment in ST‐segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) patients. However, in hyperglycemic‐STEMI patients, the incidence of death is still significant.

Naples Prognostic Score and Prediction of Left Ventricular Ejection Fraction in STEMI Patients
Angiology, 2023The Naples score is a new prognostic score developed according to inflammatory and nutritional status and frequently evaluated in cancer patients. The present study aimed to evaluate using the Naples prognostic score (NPS) to predict the development of ...

Therapeutic Hypothermia in STEMI
Cardiovascular Revascularization Medicine, 2021In this review article we tried to find an answer to the question, should local coronary hypothermia be a part of the early reperfusion strategy in patients with STEMI to prevent reperfusion injury, no-reflow phenomenon, and to reduce the infarct size and mortality. Hypothermia can save cardiomyocytes if achieved in a timely fashion before reperfusion.

An 83 y/o African Americanmale with a history of hypertension and chronic kidney disease presented following a fall. The fall occurred while he was trying to get up from a sitting position. The patient said he was light-headed and his knees gave way, but at the time of history taking he was asymptomatic.

Evolution of single-lead ECG for STEMI detection using a deep learning approach.
International Journal of Cardiology, 2021BACKGROUND While ST-Elevation Myocardial Infarction (STEMI) door-to-balloon times are often below 90 min, symptom to door times remain long at 2.5-h, due at least in part to a delay in diagnosis.
