Prevalence of Aspirin Resistance in Patients with Transcatheter Pulmonary Valve Replacement

open access: yesCatheterization and Cardiovascular Interventions, Volume 105, Issue 5, Page 1230-1235, April 1, 2025.
ABSTRACT Background Congenital heart disease (CHD) patients with pulmonary valve failure may undergo transcatheter pulmonary valve replacement (TPVR). Aspirin is often prescribed as long‐term therapy after TPVR to prevent thromboembolic events (TE). Aims We aimed to examine the prevalence of aspirin resistance within the CHD TPVR population.

Management of Cardiac Implantable Electronic Devices in Patients With Severe Symptomatic Tricuspid Regurgitation—Proposed Algorithm and Selected Case Examples

open access: yesCatheterization and Cardiovascular Interventions, Volume 105, Issue 6, Page 1395-1406, May 1, 2025.
ABSTRACT Severe tricuspid regurgitation (TR) is associated with significant morbidity and mortality. Management of severe TR includes treatment of the underlying cause(s), medical therapy and less commonly surgical tricuspid valve repair. Newer transcatheter tricuspid valve repair devices show promise for those patients who remain symptomatic with ...

Comparison of Fractional Flow Reserve and Myocardial Perfusion Imaging in Saphenous Vein Grafts

open access: yesCatheterization and Cardiovascular Interventions, Volume 105, Issue 6, Page 1365-1374, May 1, 2025.
ABSTRACT Background Revascularization decision‐making for saphenous vein grafts (SVGs) relies on angiographic lesion severity estimation, as studies on fractional flow reserve (FFR) for detecting ischemia in SVGs are scarce. Aims To compare FFR and quantitative coronary angiography (QCA) of SVGs against myocardial perfusion imaging (MPI) and to ...
