Unveiling the Invisible: A Case of Canine Diffuse Microscopic Pancreatic Adenocarcinoma With Normal Imaging and Gross Appearance of the Pancreas Complicated by Sterile Peritonitis and Disseminated Intravascular Coagulation

open access: yesVeterinary Medicine and Science, Volume 12, Issue 2, March 2026.
This case report describes an atypical presentation of diffuse microscopic pancreatic adenocarcinoma in an 11‐year‐old male neutered Shetland Sheepdog, which was not detectable on advanced diagnostic imaging or during exploratory laparotomy. Despite the absence of visible pancreatic abnormalities, histopathology confirmed malignant infiltration ...

D‐Dimer: A Mediator of the Association Between Lymphocyte and Dissemination of Pulmonary Tuberculosis: A Retrospective Cohort Study

open access: yesThe Clinical Respiratory Journal, Volume 20, Issue 3, March 2026.
This study identifies D‐dimer as a key mediator between lymphocyte depletion and pulmonary tuberculosis dissemination. Our findings reveal that reduced lymphocyte counts increase dissemination risk partly by elevating D‐dimer levels, suggesting a critical link between immune deficiency and coagulopathy.

Impact of Coronary Microvascular Dysfunction on Left Ventricular Function After Percutaneous Coronary Intervention: Assessment With Combined Dipyridamole‐Exercise Stress and Myocardial Strain/Work

open access: yesEchocardiography, Volume 43, Issue 3, March 2026.
Decreased coronary flow velocity reserve (CFVR) was correlated with left ventricular (LV) dysfunction after percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), as assessed via dipyridamole‐exercise stress echocardiography (DExE). This dysfunction was characterized by lower myocardial strain/work index and worse 1‐year Seattle Angina Questionnaire (SAQ) scores ...
