Quantification of Local Hemodynamic Alterations Caused by Virtual Implantation of Three Commercially Available Stents for the Treatment of Aortic Coarctation [PDF]
Patients with coarctation of the aorta (CoA) are prone to morbidity including atherosclerotic plaque that has been shown to correlate with altered wall shear stress (WSS) in the descending thoracic aorta (dAo).

In this study, a physically enhanced vascular dECM bioink and used 3D‐coaxial bioprinting are developed to fabricate mature brain blood vessels for cerebral atherosclerosis research. This model demonstrates that vascular geometry‐induced hemodynamic changes trigger vascular inflammation, ensuring its potential for cerebrovascular research.

Examination of mechanical and medical application properties of coronary stents [PDF]
The medical application properties of coronary stents describe their behaviour in the human vascular system from planting to functioning. However these properties have great importance to surgeons, not all of them have standardized examination methods ...

Simulating Drug-Eluting Stents: Progress Made and the Way Forward [PDF]
Drug-eluting stents have significantly improved the treatment of coronary artery disease. Compared with their bare metal predecessors, they offer reduced rates of restenosis and thus represent the current gold standard in percutaneous coronary ...

Transducer Materials Mediated Deep Brain Stimulation in Neurological Disorders
This review discusses advanced transducer materials for improving deep brain stimulation (DBS) in neurological disorders. These materials respond to light, ultrasound, or magnetic fields, enabling precise, less invasive neuromodulation. Their stimulus‐responsive properties enhance neural control and adaptive therapy, paving the way for next‐generation ...

Testing Method of Stent’s Radial Force [PDF]
In case of coronary arteriosclerosis and heart attack balloon-expandable stents are used. These balloon crimped implants are placed to the occluded vessel part and the balloons are pumped with big pressure (4-20 bar).

Micro-invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS): a review of surgical procedures using stents
Over the last decade several novel surgical treatment options and devices for glaucoma have been developed. All these developments aim to cause as little trauma as possible to the eye, to safely, effectively, and sustainably reduce intraocular pressure ...
