Calculation of Constant‐Rate Drawdowns from Stepped‐Rate Pumping Tests
Groundwater, 1989ABSTRACT Drawdown and recovery data obtained for stepped‐ rate pumping tests can be used to calculate the drawdowns that would occur if the test were carried out a constant rate without stopping. The recovery phase of constant‐rate pumping tests can be analyzed by the same method because cessation of pumping can be treated as a step ...

Well Loss Estimation: Variable Pumping Replacing Step Drawdown Test
Journal of Hydraulic Engineering, 2002An optimization method is presented for simultaneous estimation of aquifer parameters and well loss parameters utilizing all the drawdowns observed during a variable rate pumping or multiple step pumping test. The proposed method does not require any graphical analysis.

Step‐Drawdown Test Needs Critical Review a
Groundwater, 1969Abstract A review of the literature and a study of a number of field tests shows that the presently used analysis and interpretation of step‐drawdown tests can be misleading. The efficiency of a well is defined. The usefulness of the step‐drawdown test is outlined and a hypothesis for reduction in specific capacity is offered.

Journal of Hydrologic Engineering, 2006
Adequate knowledge of the hydraulic characteristics of production wells is indispensable for the proper development and management of wells and for the selection of suitable pumps. In this study, the characteristic hydraulic parameters of production wells were determined by the widely used graphical analysis of step-drawdown pumping test data as well ...

Investigation of the Variation in Well Performance over Time Using Step Drawdown Tests
2017The purpose of this study is to investigate thevariation in well performance over years by performing step drawdown test. Thewell used in this study was drilled by Neojen Engineering in the unconfinedaquifer in Bursa Küçük Sanayi region and is 27 meters deep. The first stepdrawdown test was carried out on November 2, 2012. The test was repeated onMarch
