The Step-Drawdown Test and Non-Darcian Flow: A Critical Review of Theory, Methods and Practice [PDF]

open access: yesHydrology Research, 1982
Step-drawdown tests are usually carried out with succeeding steps of increased pumping yield, each step of equal duration of 1 hour. The background for this procedure is reviewed, and it is shown, that very often much shorter duration of steps is adequate. The analysis of step-tests is usually based on the formulas of Jacob or Rorabaugh.

SOFTWARE SOLUTIONS FOR ANALYZING DATA OBTAINED FROM STEP DRAWDOWN TEST

open access: yesMugla Journal of Science and Technology
Step-drawdown tests play a critical role in determining the hydraulic properties of aquifers and in the management of groundwater resources. The data obtained from these tests allow for the analysis of parameters such as aquifer hydraulic conductivity, specific yield, and storage coefficient.
