Step and touch voltage – an update for 2004
Australian Journal of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, 2005Hazardous step and touch voltages arise in a variety of high voltage electrical installations, and there are a number of different industry publications which publish acceptable step and touch voltage limits. This paper sets out the derivation of step and touch voltage limits based on the work of Dalziel and Biegelmeier and Lee, and AS/NZS 60479.1 ...

Step Response of Measuring Systems for High Impulse Voltages
IEEE Transactions on Power Apparatus and Systems, 1967The generalized impulse voltage measuring system is analyzed as a complete entity using the step response approach. The analysis shows that the response time of the system is not determined correctly by conventional methods and a new method is presented.

TOUCH AND STEP VOLTAGE HAZARD ANALYSIS
This article analyzes the risks associated with electric shock, specifically focusing on the effects of touch and step voltage, which can lead to severe injury or death. Citing international studies, the research confirms that older individuals typically exhibit a body resistance between 1000-2000 Ω, with exposure to 230 V potentially causing dangerousE.S.
