A Step-Up Converter with Large Voltage Gain and Low Voltage Rating on Capacitors

open access: yesEnergies, 2022
Step-up converters are widely used in many applications, such as renewable energy generation with photovoltaic panels and fuel cell stacks. In many cases, the required voltage gain is larger for those applications than a traditional boost converter can ...

Analysis of the Influence of Complex Terrain around DC Transmission Grounding Electrodes on Step Voltage

open access: yesEnergies
The distribution of renewable energy sources is geographically limited. In the process of long-distance transmission, the direct current flowing from a ground electrode into the ground will cause a higher step voltage, which will bring serious security ...

Switched Capacitor Based High Step-Up Multilevel Inverter with Self-Balancing Ability and Low Switching Stress

open access: yesInternational Transactions on Electrical Energy Systems, 2022
In this article, the switched capacitor (SC) based high step-up multilevel inverter is proposed with self-balancing capability. The proposed SC inverter topology is to step up the high output voltage from the very low input voltage without any bulky ...

Sickle Cell Disease Is an Inherent Risk for Asthma in a Sibling Comparison Study

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Sickle cell disease (SCD) and asthma share a complex relationship. Although estimates vary, asthma prevalence in children with SCD is believed to be comparable to or higher than the general population. Determining whether SCD confers an increased risk for asthma remains challenging due to overlapping symptoms and the ...

Pazopanib Combined With Vincristine and Irinotecan in Relapsed Wilms Tumor: Encouraging Outcomes in a Heavily Pretreated Pediatric Cohort

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background While Wilms tumor (WT) typically has a favorable prognosis, relapsed cases—especially those with high‐risk histology—remain therapeutically challenging after intensive frontline therapy. The combination of vincristine and irinotecan has demonstrated activity in pediatric solid tumors, and pazopanib, a multi‐targeted tyrosine kinase ...

Non-isolated high step-up DC–DC converter adopting auxiliary capacitor and coupled inductor

open access: yesJournal of Modern Power Systems and Clean Energy, 2017
For grid-connected power system based on photovoltaic (PV) source and fuel cells, high step-up and high-efficiency DC–DC converters are needed, due to the bus voltage of the grid-connected inverter is much higher than the output voltage of PV and fuel ...

Potential Early Risk Biomarkers for Reduced Forced Expiratory Volume in Children Post‐Hematopoietic Cell Transplantation

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT We sought to identify potential early risk biomarkers for lung disease in children post‐allogeneic HCT. Patients with pulmonary function tests 3 months post‐transplant and plasma samples between days 7 and 14 post‐HCT were included. Six of 27 subjects enrolled had reduced forced expiratory volume 1 (FEV1) z scores.
