Stereo display with time-multiplexed focal adjustment. [PDF]

open access: yesProc SPIE Int Soc Opt Eng, 2009
In stereo displays, binocular disparity creates a striking impression of depth. However, such displays present focus cues-blur and accommodation-that specify a different depth than disparity, thereby causing a conflict. This conflict causes several problems including misperception of the 3D layout, difficulty fusing binocular images, and visual fatigue.

Integral-Imaging display from stereo-Kinect capture [PDF]

open access: yesSPIE Proceedings, 2017
In this paper, we propose a new approach in order to improve the quality of microimages and display them onto an integral imaging monitor. Our main proposal is based on the stereo-hybrid 3D camera system.

Morphing a Stereogram into Hologram

open access: yesJournal of Imaging, 2020
We developed a method to transform stereoscopic two-dimensional (2D) images into holograms via unsupervised morphing deformations between left (L) and right (R) input images.

HiddenGazeStereo: Hiding Gaze-Contingent Disparity Remapping for 2D-Compatible Natural 3D Viewing

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2022
Stereoscopic 3D displays (S3D), the most popular consumer display devices for 3D presentation, have a few problems that degrade the natural visual experience, such as unnatural relationships between eye vergence and accommodation, and severe image ...

Automatic Real-Time Pose Estimation of Machinery from Images

open access: yesSensors, 2022
The automatic positioning of machines in a large number of application areas is an important aspect of automation. Today, this is often done using classic geodetic sensors such as Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) and robotic total stations.
