Stereoscopy and Autostereoscopy

open access: yesMixed Reality and Three-Dimensional Computer Graphics, 2020
For a seamless Mixed Reality visual experience the display device needs to be versatile enough to enable both 2D as well as 3D Stereoscopic and Autostereoscopic see through information display.

The Historical Origin of the Pulfrich Effect: A Serendipitous Astronomic Observation at the Border of the Milky Way [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Interested in star movement the founder of Heidelberg's astronomy observatory, Max Wolf, faced the dilemma that the hitherto used 'Blinkmikrosop' of his Institution was damaged beyond repair following the first world war.

Investigating Cyclical Stereoscopy Effects Over Visual Discomfort and Fatigue in Virtual Reality While Learning

open access: yesInternational Symposium on Mixed and Augmented Reality, 2019
Purpose: It is hypothesized that cyclical stereoscopy (displaying stereoscopy or 2D cyclically) has effect over visual fatigue, learning curves and quality of experience, and that those effects are different from regular stereoscopy.

3D NON-INVASIVE INSPECTION OF THE SKIN LESIONS BY CLOSE-RANGE AND LOW-COST PHOTOGRAMMETRIC TECHNIQUES

open access: yesImage Analysis and Stereology, 2018
In dermatology, one of the most common causes of skin abnormality is an unusual change in skin lesion structure which may exhibit very subtle physical deformation of its 3D shape.

Nonlinear Force-Free Magnetic Field Fitting to Coronal Loops with and without Stereoscopy

open access: yes, 2012
We developed a new nonlinear force-free magnetic field (NLFFF) forward-fitting algorithm based on an analytical approximation of force-free and divergence-free NLFFF solutions, which requires as input a line-of-sight magnetogram and traced 2D loop ...

The Magnetic Field in the Solar Atmosphere [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
This publication provides an overview of magnetic fields in the solar atmosphere with the focus lying on the corona. The solar magnetic field couples the solar interior with the visible surface of the Sun and with its atmosphere.

Multiangular Observation of Canopy Sun-Induced Chlorophyll Fluorescence by Combining Imaging Spectroscopy and Stereoscopy

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2017
The effect that the canopy structure and the viewing geometry have on the intensity and the spatial distribution of passively measured sun-induced chlorophyll fluorescence at canopy scale is still not well understood.

Contact Lens with Moiré Patterns for High‐Precision Eye Tracking

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work presents a passive contact lens for high‐precision eye tracking, integrating a microscopic moiré grating label. The parallax‐induced shift of macroscopic moiré patterns enables angle measurement with 0.28° precision using a standard camera under ambient light.

Meta‐Virtuality: Strategies of Disembeddedness in Virtual Interiorities

open access: yesJournal of Interior Design, EarlyView., 2022
ABSTRACT To reclaim their seat in the rapidly growing market of virtual space, designers of the built environment can benefit from reevaluating theories that see the virtual as a mere extension/reflection of the physical. By claiming ontological autonomy from external worlds, the virtual is liberated from the hegemonic control of the physical.
