Sterilization of polymer-based medical catheters using electron beam (EB) irradiation is effective but may compromise long-term material stability. This study investigates the effects of EB doses (25–100 kGy) on the structural, thermal, and chemical ...

Good manufacturing practices (gmp) utilized on human blood irradiation process
Irradiation of human blood is used to avoid the TA-GVHD (transfusion-associated graft-versus-host-disease), a rare but devastating adverse effect of leukocytes present in blood components for immunocompetent transfusion recipients.

Phase Engineering of Nanomaterials (PEN): Evolution, Current Challenges, and Future Opportunities
This review summarizes the synthesis, phase transition, advanced characterization spanning ex situ to in situ and operando techniques, and diverse applications of phase engineering of nanomaterials (PEN). It further outlines key challenges and future opportunities, such as phase stability, architecture control, and artificial intelligence (AI)‐driven ...

Complexity of Constraint Satisfaction Problems over Finite Subsets of Natural Numbers [PDF]
We study the computational complexity of constraint satisfaction problems that are based on integer expressions and algebraic circuits. On input of a finite set of variables and a finite set of constraints the question is whether the variables can be ...

Time-dose reciprocity mechanism for the inactivation of Escherichia coli using X-ray irradiation
The time-dose reciprocity has long been a cornerstone in understanding ultraviolet (UV) sterilization. However, recent studies have demonstrated significant deviations from this law, attributed to complex mechanisms involving reactive oxygen species (ROS)

A circular upcycling strategy transforms waste poly(ethylene terephthalate) bottles into microwave‐responsive Ni@C catalyst featuring lattice‐distorted nickel cores and defective carbon shells. These strain‐rich heterointerfaces enhance dielectric loss and promote localized microwave hotspots, accelerating peroxymonosulfate activation and polymer‐chain

Monetary sterilization and dual nominal anchors: some Caribbean examples [PDF]
This paper notes that a high sterilization coefficient plus a de facto pegged exchange rate indicates the existence of dual nominal anchors. The econometric evidence presented shows that several Caribbean economies with fixed exchange rate regimes also ...

P-Optimal Proof Systems for Each NP-Set but no Complete Disjoint NP-Pairs Relative to an Oracle [PDF]
Pudlák [P. Pudlák, 2017] lists several major conjectures from the field of proof complexity and asks for oracles that separate corresponding relativized conjectures.

A microfluidic method is presented which enables parallelized fabrication of rod‐shaped microgels, based on step‐emulsification (SE) droplet generation and subsequent droplet distribution and confinement, combined in a single device. Microgel rods are fabricated in parallel at different flow rates based on two light‐mediated crosslinking chemistries ...

Using a bottom‐up approach, we engineered a human neuromuscular microchip to investigate distinct adaptive responses to neural stimulation and metabolic stress. Further integration of endothelial cells revealed their critical role in modulating neuromuscular excitability, establishing a comprehensive neurovascular‐muscular model.
