Engineering the Future of Restorative Clinical Peripheral Nerve Surgery

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
What if damaged nerves could regenerate more effectively? This review unveils cutting‐edge strategies to restore nerve function, from biomaterial scaffolds and bioactive molecules to living engineered tissues. By accelerating axonal regrowth, preserving Schwann cells, and enhancing connectivity, these approaches are reshaping nerve repair—offering new ...

STERILE NEUTRINOS AS A SOLUTION TO ALL NEUTRINO ANOMALIES [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 1995
The sterile neutrino solutions to different irregular results and observations in neutrino physics are studied. It is pointed out that introducing sterile neutrinos helps to solve simultaneously the observed anomalies. It is argued that sterile neutrinos can solve the conflict between dark matter neutrinos, LSND result and supernova nucleosynthesis ...

TPMS‐Gyroid Scaffold‐Mediated Up‐Regulation of ITGB1 for Enhanced Cell Adhesion and Immune‐Modulatory Osteogenesis

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
A) SLM generates biomimetic bone scaffolds with consistent porosity but varying TPMS‐Gyroid unit cell designs (TG15, TG20, TG25, TG30). B) By enhancing the expression of ITGB1, TPMS‐Gyroid scaffolds can facilitate osteogenic differentiation in BMSCs and promote M2 polarization in macrophages.

Organoid‐Like Neurovascular Spheroids Promote the Recovery of Hypoxic‐Ischemic Skin Flaps Through the Activation of Autophagy

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Highly sprouting organoid‐like neurovascular spheroids (NVUs) are developed, featuring cell‐loaded poly‐3‐hydroxybutyrate 4‐hydroxybutyrate(P34HB) porous microsphere cores embedded within Gelatin Methacryloyl. NVUs formed complex vascular plexuses and secreted extracellular matrix in vitro, simulating autologous nerves and blood interaction.

A Virucidal Face Mask Based on the Reverse-flow Reactor Concept for Thermal Inactivation of SARS-CoV-2 [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2020
While facial coverings over the nose and mouth reduce the spread of the virus SARS-CoV-2 by filtration, masks capable of viral inactivation by heating could provide a complementary method to limit viral transmission. In this work, we introduce a new virucidal face mask concept based on a reverse-flow reactor driven by the oscillatory flow of human ...

Structured Light Projection Using Image Guide Fibers for In Situ Photo‐biofabrication

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Light‐based biofabrication is typically performed with single wavelength light sources and within benchtop devices. This work demonstrates FaSt‐Light (Fiber‐assisted Structured Light) as a new approach to achieve multiwavelength image projection using flexible image guide fibers, which enables a variety of applications for in situ biofabrication ...
