The past and the present of Indian Psylloidea (Hemiptera: Sternorrhyncha)

Indian Journal of Entomology, 2017
Close to 120 species of Psylloidea are known from India. Ram Nath Mathur's, Psyllidae of the Indian Subcontinent (1975) remains the relevant document for Indian Psylloidea today, although much updating is necessary. That a few papers on scattered themes pertaining to Indian Psylloidea have appeared post Mathur volume is notable.

Phylogeny and higher classification of the scale insects (Hemiptera: Sternorrhyncha: Coccoidea)*

Zootaxa, 2007
The superfamily Coccoidea contains nearly 8000 species of plant-feeding hemipterans comprising up to 32 families divided traditionally into two informal groups, the archaeococcoids and the neococcoids. The neococcoids form a monophyletic group supported by both morphological and genetic data.

Comparative morphological assessment of the psyllid pleuron (insecta, hemiptera, sternorrhyncha)

Journal of Morphology, 2002
AbstractA unique set of morphological characters based on the hemipteran (sensu lato) thorax are used to define the pleuron of Psylloidea. New external and internal topographical descriptions of pleurites of all three thoracic segments are provided based on observations of specimens from various genera representing the current taxonomic arrangement of ...

Evidence for Multiple Acquisition of Arsenophonus by Whitefly Species (Sternorrhyncha: Aleyrodidae)

Current Microbiology, 2004
Whiteflies contain primary prokaryotic endosymbionts located within specialized host cells. This endosymbiotic association is the result of a single infection of the host followed by vertical transmission of the endosymbiont to the progeny. Whiteflies may also be associated with other bacteria called secondary (S-) endosymbionts.

Amendments to some scale insect names (Hemiptera: Sternorrhyncha: Coccomorpha)

Zootaxa, 2016
The following scale insect specific names need gender changes to agree with their genus group names in the current printed catalogues and in ScaleNet, a database of the scale insects (García Morales et al. 2016). This action is taken to agree with Article 31.2 of the International Code of Zoological Nomenclature (International Commission on Zoological ...

Family-group names in the scale insects (Hemiptera: Sternorrhyncha: Coccoidea)—a supplement

Zootaxa, 2013
Williams (1969) published a list of the family-group names in the Coccoidea (scale insects) recognised at that time. The present paper supplements this earlier list and includes all nominal genera that have had family-group names based on them, including those in the earlier paper, in case it is not readily available to some workers. Nominal genera and
