On the STFT Inversion Redundancy
IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems II: Express Briefs, 2016The inversion of the short-time Fourier transform (STFT) calculated with common windows is revisited. It has been shown that, using a commonly windowed STFT, a full signal reconstruction may be achieved from the same number of the STFT coefficients as the number of signal samples.

Spectrum Representation Based on STFT
2020 13th International Congress on Image and Signal Processing, BioMedical Engineering and Informatics (CISP-BMEI), 2020A new spectrum representation method based on short time Fourier transform (STFT) is proposed. The formula of new spectrum representation is derived base on energy cumulant of short time Fourier transform (EC-STFT), which indicates that EC-STFT has the spectrum characteristics.

STFT-based denoising of elastograms
2011 IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech and Signal Processing (ICASSP), 2011In ultrasound elastography, axial strains of the examined tissue are calculated by the differentiation of the measured axial displacements. However, the results become obscured as high-frequency noise is amplified by the gradient operator. In this paper, we propose an advanced denoising method for axial displacements with the aim of accurately ...

Recursive realization of the robust STFT
Seventh International Symposium on Signal Processing and Its Applications, 2003. Proceedings., 2003An efficient procedure is proposed for the realization of robust short-time fourier transform (STFT) based on the recursive realization of the standard STFT. In the initial stage it uses the robust STFT calculated by iterative or sorting procedures and, after that, the recursive relation is applied.

Exploiting local STFT properties
2000 IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech, and Signal Processing. Proceedings (Cat. No.00CH37100), 2002We consider the properties of the short time Fourier transform as a representation of the distribution of the analytic signal in time and frequency and use the properties of the surface to remap the surface and reconstruct the analytic representations of signal components.

STFT-based estimator of polynomial phase signals
Signal Processing, 2012The short-time Fourier transform (STFT) based instantaneous frequency (IF) estimator has been used for polynomial phase signal (PPS) parameters estimation. This estimator is biased but it is less sensitive to the noise influence than the higher-order techniques such as the high-order ambiguity function (HAF).

An STFT-LSTM System for P-Wave Identification
IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Letters, 2020The identification of P-waves in data with substantial noises is essential in seismic phase recognition, which is the foundation of seismic localization and an essential part of automatic seismic monitoring and processing. We treat the identification of P-waves as a sequence classification problem and build a long short-term memory (LSTM) network to ...

DOA estimation of LFM signals based on STFT and multiple invariance ESPRIT
In order to improve the angle measurement precision of LFM signals with a low computational complexity, a direction of arrival (DOA) estimation algorithm STFT-MI-ESPRIT is proposed in this paper.

The STFT in an Exponential Function Approximation
AIP Conference Proceedings, 2007The paper proposed an original method for an exponential function linear approximation, based upon recently developed Special Trans Function Theory—STFT, Perovich S.M. (1992–2007). It moves the exponential function analysis from the classical MacLaurin's series and the field of numerical methods to the field of the STFT.
