X-ray diffraction evidence for a monoclinic form of stibnite, Sb(2)S(3), below 290 K

open access: yes, 2004
The nature of the symmetry changes associated with phase transitions in stibnite, Sb2S3, has been investigated by powder and single crystal X-ray diffraction. Above 420 K stibnite (I) is centrosymmetric Pbnm. Stibnite (II) is stable between 290 and 420 K

Leaching Kinetics of Stibnite in Sodium Hydroxide Solution

open access: yesInternational Journal of Engineering, 2013
The leaching kinetics of stibnite in basic solution has been investigated. Spherical pellets of antimony sulphide were dissolved in 1 molar sodium hydroxide solutions at different temperatures. It was found that the shrinking core with ash layer model could satisfactorily explain the dissolution process.
