A Comprehensive Systematic Review of Cyber‐Physical Systems Security: Threats, Challenges, and Defense in ICS/OT Environments

open access: yesEngineering Reports, Volume 8, Issue 7, July 2026.
Overview of the paper organization, illustrating the hierarchical structure of cybersecurity domains in ICS and CPS, including attack analysis, security approaches, offensive tactics, career guidance, and concluding discussions. ABSTRACT The convergence of operational technology (OT) with IP‐based information systems has exposed industrial control ...

Influence of Alkaline Earth Barium on the Microstructure, Corrosion Behavior, and Cytocompatibility of Biodegradable Zinc

open access: yesRare Metals, Volume 45, Issue 7, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Biodegradable Zn‐based alloys are promising candidates for temporary implants, yet excessive Zn2+ release during degradation may induce cytotoxicity and adverse tissue responses. In this study, Zn‐xBa alloys (x = 0.1 wt%, 0.5 wt%, 1.0 wt% and 3.0 wt%) were developed to achieve controlled corrosion behaviors with improved biocompatibility.

Predicting and Rationalizing Piezoelectricity in Racemic Bioorganic Molecular Crystals

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, Volume 138, Issue 26, 22 June 2026.
Racemic molecular crystals, composed of equal mixtures of chiral enantiomeric components, are predicted to exhibit significant piezoelectric responses and favourable mechanical flexibility. This study identifies organic and bioorganic racemates as promising candidates for sustainable, lead‐free materials, enabling next‐generation applications in energy

What No Research Means: The Problematic of Time and Possibilities for Expansiveness in Interpretive Literacy Research

open access: yesReading Research Quarterly, Volume 61, Issue 3, July/August/September 2026.
ABSTRACT This article examines what becomes possible for interpretive literacy research when time is treated not as a neutral backdrop but as a central problematic. We argue that research does not merely trace temporal sequences; it actively creates temporalities that shape what becomes sensible, thinkable, and sayable within literacy studies.

Post‐Eruptive Deformation and Faulting Caused by Dike Channel Retraction, Material Drain‐Back and Contraction of the 2021 Tajogaite Craters (La Palma)

open access: yesGeochemistry, Geophysics, Geosystems, Volume 27, Issue 7, July 2026.
Abstract Young scoria cones fed by dike channels or conduits may undergo rapid and substantial post‐eruptive morphological modification; however, the structural controls and mechanisms governing topographic degradation remain poorly constrained. This knowledge gap limits our ability to reliably interpret topography, faults, deposits and the evolution ...
