Culinary Chemistry as a Platform for Interfacial Materials Design
Culinary processes control interfaces through heating, shear, gelation, and molecular transport. This Review connects selected gastronomic examples with food‐derived nanomaterials, plasmonic sensing, anthocyanin photovoltaics, and intelligent packaging. Original agar‐based plasmonic films illustrate the proposed translation.

3D‐Printed Corneal Substitutes: Materials, Fabrication, and Preclinical Progress
Successful clinical translation of 3D‐printed corneal substitutes relies on the interplay between the bioink properties, cellular component, and the fabrication process. These factors influence the critical properties of the construct, including optical transparency, mechanical stability, suture retention, that ultimately govern long‐term stromal ...

3D‐Printed Dual‐Doped Ag2Se‐Based Thermoelectric Films With Enhanced Thermal Stability
Sb–Se dual doping enhances the thermal stability of Ag2Se‐based thermoelectric systems. The compositionally tuned nano‐ink is printed into flexible films by direct ink writing (DIW), retaining improved thermoelectric properties after annealing up to 400°C.

Programmable Pneumatic Actuator System for a Bioinspired Artificial Colon
A modular soft robotic colon simulator driven by programmable pneumatic actuation is developed to mimic physiological and pathological‐like motility patterns of the large intestine. Finite element–guided design and distributed control enable anatomically realistic deformation for peristalsis, segmentation, and mass movements, supporting capsule ...

Predicting Earnings Using a Model Based on Cost Variability and Cost Stickiness [PDF]
This paper aims to evaluate the earning forecasting model based on cost variability and cost stickiness in comparison to other forecasting models. Cost stickiness means that the rate of decrease in costs while sale declines is less than the rate of ...

Liquid Crystal Elastomer Actuator Matrix for Large Area Applications
A scalable approach is used to manufacture a digitally‐controllable, 2D 5 × 5 actuator matrix. The elements of the matrix are produced by direct ink writing of a liquid crystal elastomer ‘artificial muscle’ on large‐area flexible thin‐film heaters. In optimizing the low‐power actuators, multiple heater designs and substrate materials are investigated ...

Confucian culture and cost stickiness
AbstractCultural features may exert significant impact on firm behaviour. Through a sample of listed A‐share firms on the Shanghai and Shenzhen Stock Exchanges, we find that Confucian culture may significantly lower firms' cost stickiness. Our mechanism tests suggest that ideologies of self‐discipline and prudence embedded in Confucian culture may ...

Biodegradable and Edible Milli‐Fluidic Logic Circuits
Fully biodegradable and edible fluidic circuits are developed using gelatin‐based valves that operate at low pressure. Logic gates, a one‐bit memory, and a ring oscillator are demonstrated, showing that biodegradable materials can perform computation and control.
