Fatigue Behavior of Prestressed Concrete Beam for Straddle-Type Monorail Tracks
Monorail transportation systems are widely built in medium and small cities, as well as hilly cities, because of their excellent performance. A prestressed concrete track beam is a key load-carrying structural component and guideway subjected to repeated

Damage accumulation and stiffness degradation in composite laminates
In the presented thesis analytical modeling of elastic properties degradation and modeling of damage evolution in composite laminates is performed. Transverse cracking initiation on a fiber/matrix level is briefly studied by testing model composites and cross-ply laminates. Analysis of obtained results show limitation in application of model composites.

Controlling counterion exchange rate during aqueous phase separation enables the formation of skin‐free, homogeneously porous polyelectrolyte complex hydrogels by suppressing kinetically trapped skin layers and macrovoids. The resulting hydrogel networks exhibit exceptional toughness (∼15 MJ·m−3) and enable 3D (bio)printing and post‐functionalization ...

Numerical analysis of hysteretic behavior for RAC structure under earthquake loading
The hysteretic properties of RAC structure subjected to different strain rates are analyzed, and the displacement ductility is assessed. It is revealed that, under earthquake wave excitation with the increasing strain rate, the lateral stiffness, the ...

Mechanisms of Degradation in Li‐Ion Batteries Under Low Temperature Exposures
Low‐temperature exposures, or freeze‐thaw cycles, are observed to significantly accelerate the degradation of Li‐ion batteries. A combination of electrolyte phase separation and mechanochemical stress leads to reversible and irreversible performance losses.
