Abstract Photosynthetic pigment fluorescence is commonly used in limnology and oceanography as a proxy for phytoplankton biomass. Fluorometry has been used to detect subsurface algal blooms, characterize dynamics of the deep chlorophyll layer, and to provide greater vertical resolution to phytoplankton monitoring.

Predicting Infrared Optical Properties of Materials Using Machine Learning Interatomic Potentials
This work proposes a new fast computing framework for infrared reflectance spectra, MTP‐FIRE, based on machine learning potential, which can achieve the same accuracy as the existing first‐principles calculation, but can be two orders of magnitude faster on average.

Analysis of a Mathematical Model of Marital Satisfaction
ABSTRACT A large number of marriages end in divorce. In this paper, we present a model for the emotional state of a couple based on bilinear ordinary differential equations. We study the effect of changes of each individual's self‐emotional state on the couple's state.

The Eurasian steppe area has been a dynamic vegetation biome during the Pleistocene with its repeated cycles of forest advances and retreats. Such a scenario allows the evolution of ecotypes at the ecotone with the potential for parallel evolution in different parts of the distribution area.

Clarifying nomenclatural uncertainties in Jupunba (Caesalpinioideae, Leguminosae)
Molecular phylogenetic studies have prompted substantial revisions in the systematics of the former genus Abarema, resulting in the reinstatement of the genera Punjuba and Jupunba, and a re‐circumscription of Abarema. Despite these advances, some taxa still require nomenclatural adjustments to reflect monophyletic lineages.
