Advantages of Developing Refrigerator Technology Using Stirling Cycle Cooler

open access: yesZhileng xuebao, 2004
Compared with conventional vapour compression system, the refrigerator using Free-piston Stirling cooler (FPSC) based on reverse Stirling cycle has the advantages of high efficiency, green refrigerant, large range of cooling temperature, low starting ...

Study on Natural Gas Decarbonization Process Based on CO2 Desublimation Characteristics

open access: yesAsia-Pacific Journal of Chemical Engineering, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Natural gas decarbonization is a crucial processing step. In this study, the snow separation technology for removal of carbon dioxide in natural gas based on CO2 desublimation characteristics was introduced. The phase equilibrium calculation of CH4‐CO2 and N2‐CO2 system was carried out by using cubic equations of states (EOSs), and identified ...

Optimization of a novel drive mechanism approaching the ideal cycle for beta type Stirling engines

open access: yesEngineering Science and Technology, an International Journal, 2023
Stirling engines are capable in the renewable energy gain and the recovery of waste heat, both of which are important issues today. Existing studies revealed that the piston trajectories convergent to the Stirling cycle provide more power than ...

One‐Step Electrodeposition of Iron Oxyhydroxide Onto 3D Porous Graphene Substrates for on Chip Asymmetric Micro‐Supercapacitors

open access: yesBatteries &Supercaps, Volume 8, Issue 3, March 2025.
A micro‐supercapacitor with electrodeposited iron oxyhydroxide (FeOOH) as the negative electrode and birnessite manganese oxide (MnO2) as the positive electrode achieves a 2 V working voltage, stable cycling in an aqueous electrolyte, and high energy and power densities of 21 μWh cm‐2 and 2.5 mW cm‐2 respectively.

Measuring what matters: Evaluating the impact of curriculum decolonisation initiatives in UK business schools

open access: yesBritish Educational Research Journal, EarlyView.
Abstract Curriculum decolonisation has become a prominent feature of equity agendas in UK higher education, yet there remains limited empirical and theoretical work on how such initiatives are evaluated, particularly within business schools. This paper presents one of the first multi‐institutional empirical studies examining how UK business schools ...

Split-Stirling, linear-resonant, cryogenic refrigerators for detector cooling [PDF]

open access: yes, 1983
For the past decade, military IR systems have preferred to see cryogenic coolers provided as split units; separating the functions of compressor and cold-end for system packaging and vibration isolation reasons.

Optimization of an irreversible Stirling regenerative cycle [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Physics: Conference Series, 2015
In this work a Stirling regenerative cycle with some irreversibilities is analyzed. The analyzed irreversibilities are located at the heat exchangers. They receive a finite amount of heat and heat leakage occurs between both reservoirs. Using this model, power and the efficiency at maximum power are obtained.
