A New Symmetric Expression of Weyl Ordering
For the creation operator $\adag $ and the annihilation operator $a$ of a harmonic oscillator, we consider Weyl ordering expression of $(\adag a)^n$ and obtain a new symmetric expression of Weyl ordering w.r.t. $\adag a \equiv N$ and $a\adag =N+1$ where $

Negative $q$-Stirling numbers [PDF]
The notion of the negative $q$-binomial was recently introduced by Fu, Reiner, Stanton and Thiem. Mirroring the negative $q$-binomial, we show the classical $q$ -Stirling numbers of the second kind can be expressed as a pair of statistics on a subset of restricted growth words. The resulting expressions are polynomials in $q$ and $(1+q)$.

An Eco‐Social Lens on Voice for Undervoiced and Unvoiced Stakeholders
ABSTRACT This conceptual paper argues it is important from an ecological–social (eco‐social) whole system point of view for businesses and policymakers to take the interests of and impacts on unvoiced and undervoiced [un(der)voiced] stakeholders into consideration for both strategic and justice reasons.

Bell Numbers of Complete Multipartite Graphs [PDF]
The {\it Stirling number} $S(G;k)$ is the number of partitions of the vertices of a graph $G$ into $k$ nonempty independent sets and the number of all partitions of $G$ is its {\it Bell number}, $B(G)$.

Lagrange inversion and Stirling number convolutions [PDF]
Recently Agoh and Dilcher proved a convolution identity involving Stirling numbers S(n, r) of the second kind. We prove an identity where S(n, r) is replaced by a more general doubly-indexed family A(n, r).

Combinatorics and Boson normal ordering: A gentle introduction
We discuss a general combinatorial framework for operator ordering problems by applying it to the normal ordering of the powers and exponential of the boson number operator.

Asymptotic Estimates of Stirling Numbers [PDF]
New asymptotic estimates are given of the Stirling numbers and , of first and second kind, respectively, as n tends to infinity. The approximations are uniformly valid with respect to the second parameter m.

Versatile Palladium‐Catalyzed C‐H Arylation of Fluoroarenes with 2‐Chloropyridine Derivatives
Direct C─H arylation of fluoroarenes with 2‐chloropyridines is enabled by a simple Pd/SPhos system in isopropyl acetate. The method uses inexpensive reactants and shows broad scope and high yields. DFT computations explain reactivity and selectivity.

Correlative species distribution models (SDMs) are quantitative tools in biogeography and macroecology. Building upon the ecological niche concept, they correlate environmental covariates to species presence to model habitat suitability and predict species distributions.
