ABSTRACT This article presents a capacity‐based assessment procedure for beam–column (b–c) joints of reinforced concrete frames with floor slabs and transverse beams. The procedure extends a previously proposed assessment methodology for determining the hierarchy of strengths and the sequence of events in symmetrically reinforced planar b–c joints.

How I Do It: A Stepwise Surgical Technique for Fisch Class B Glomus Tympanicum
We describe a stepwise retroauricular microsurgical workflow for bulky tympanic paragangliomas, combining circumferential canaloplasty with temporary removal and replacement of the tympanomeatal flap and malleus to optimize exposure and bleeding control.

By making use of HSC the box girders of Spanbeton are designed more slender. Use was made of additional prestressing and additional stirrups. Steel fibers were used to increase the ductility of the HSC.
