Emergent Motility of Self‐Organized Particle‐Giant Unilamellar Vesicle Assembly
Giant unilamellar vesicles (GUVs), when combined with silica particles under alternating electric fields, spontaneously self‐assemble into motile structures. Asymmetric particle decoration induces fluid flows that propel the assemblies, enabling persistent motion and reversible control.

Multivariate Adaptive Stochastic Approximation
A multivariate version of the adaptive stochastic approximation procedure of Robbins-Monro type developed recently by \textit{T. L. Lai} and \textit{H. Robbins} [Proc. Natl. Acad. Sci. USA 75, 586-587 (1978; Zbl 0374.62084), ibid. 76, 3065-3067 (1979; Zbl 0414.62064), and Ann. Stat. 7, 1196-1221 (1979; Zbl 0426.62059)] is investigated.

ON STOCHASTIC APPROXIMATION [PDF]
ABSTRACTThis paper deals with a stochastic process for the approximation of the root of a regression equation. This process was first suggested by Robbins and Monro [1].The main result here is a necessary and sufficient condition on the iteration coefficients for convergence of the process (convergence with probability one and convergence in the ...

Active Learning‐Guided Accelerated Discovery of Ultra‐Efficient High‐Entropy Thermoelectrics
An active learning framework is introduced for the accelerated discovery of high‐entropy chalcogenides with superior thermoelectric performance. Only 80 targeted syntheses, selected from 16206 possible combinations, led to three high‐performance compositions, demonstrating the remarkable efficiency of data‐driven guidance in experimental materials ...

Universal Conductance Fluctuations in Quantum Anomalous Hall Insulators
Universal conductance fluctuations are observed in mesoscopic quantum anomalous Hall insulators. Two distinct fluctuation patterns are identified, arising from different interference processes of bulk and chiral edge states, respectively. These findings unveil rich quantum interference phenomena in quantum anomalous Hall insulators and provide insights

DNA Origami‐Templated Aptamer Chiral Structures Realize Cellular Enantioselectivity
Aptamers displayed on tubular DNA origami nanostructures in defined chiral orientations (left‐ or right‐handed) exhibit enantioselective interactions with cell surface target proteins. While the right‐handed configuration supports only transient binding, the left handedness energetically favors protein dimerization and promotes subsequent ...

We show a giant, bias‐field free, deterministic, spin‐orbit‐torque switching of perpendicular hard magnets with HC over 1.3 T. By combining the three‐fold 3m symmetry from topological insulator surface states with the rectangular mm2 symmetry from the 2 x 1 intercalation in Cr3Te4, the interface symmetry is significantly reduced into a unidirectional m

From homogeneity to heterogeneity: Refining stochastic simulations of gene regulation
Cellular processes are intricately controlled through gene regulation, which is significantly influenced by intrinsic noise due to the small number of molecules involved. The Gillespie algorithm, a widely used stochastic simulation method, is pervasively

Multidimensional Stochastic Approximation Methods
Multidimensional stochastic approximation schemes are presented, and conditions are given for these schemes to converge a.s. (almost surely) to the solutions of $k$ stochastic equations in $k$ unknowns and to the point where a regression function in $k$ variables achieves its maximum.
