Consensus Formation and Change are Enhanced by Neutrality
Neutral agents are shown to enhance both the formation and overturning of consensus in collective decision‐making. A general mathematical model and experiments with locusts and humans reveal that neutrality enables robust consensus via simple interactions and accelerates consensus change by reducing effective population size.

Some Probability Characteristics of the Solution of Stochastic Fredholm Integral Equation Contain Brownian Motion. [PDF]
In this paper, some probability characteristics (probability density, characteristic, covariance, and spectral density) functions are derived depending on the smallest variance of the solution of a supposing stochastic Fredholm integral equation contains

Nonparametric stochastic discount factor decomposition [PDF]
Stochastic discount factor (SDF) processes in dynamic economies admit a permanent-transitory decomposition in which the permanent component characterizes pricing over long investment horizons. This paper introduces an empirical framework to analyze the permanent-transitory decomposition of SDF processes.

The Kalman decomposition for Linear Quantum Stochastic Systems [PDF]
The Kalman decomposition for Linear Quantum Stochastic Systems in the real quadrature operator representation, that was derived indirectly in [1] by the authors, is derived here directly, using the "one-sided symplectic" SVD-like factorization of [2] on the observability matrix of the system.

Perspective: Hollow Core Optical Fibres for Ultraviolet and Visible Wavelengths
Hollow core optical fibres bypass material constraints that limit optical fibres at ultraviolet and visible wavelengths. However, their challenging fabrication has limited their development, and significant gains in performance remain possible. In this perspective we outline approaches to enable the next generation of fibres for shorter wavelengths ...

Icariin promoted the growth of Akk by enhancing the activity of N‐acetylgalactosaminidase (Amuc_0920), which enhanced mucin utilization and provided a favorable nutrient environment for bacterial growth. This icariin‐mediated enrichment of Akk further reshaped the tumor microenvironment and promoted CD8+ T cell infiltration, ultimately synergizing with

An application of the nonselfadjoint operators theory in the study of stochastic processes
The theory of operator colligations in Hilbert spaces gives rise to certain models for nonselfadjoint operators, called triangular models. These models generalize the spectral decomposition of selfadjoint operators.
