High‐Latitude Joule Heating in TIE‐GCM 3.0: Evaluation of Different Plasma Convection Forcing Models

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, Volume 52, Issue 17, 16 September 2025.
Abstract We systematically evaluate the high‐latitude Joule heating of the recently released version 3.0 Thermosphere Ionosphere Electrodynamics General Circulation Model (TIE‐GCM) by comparison to EISCAT incoherent scatter radar measurements. The model performance is examined using normalized root mean square deviations derived from test runs driven ...

Prolonged Intervals of Relativistic Electron Storm‐Time Flux Enhancements in the Magnetotail at Lunar Distance

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, Volume 52, Issue 16, 28 August 2025.
Abstract We report on prolonged enhancements of electron fluxes at energies at or above 500 keV, observed in the magnetotail by the lunar‐orbiting Acceleration, Reconnection, Turbulence, and Electrodynamics of Moon's Interaction with the Sun (ARTEMIS) during the recovery phase of a magnetic storm with minimum Dst ${D}_{st}$ ≈ ${\approx} $ −200 nT ...

Path Integral Spin Dynamics for Quantum Paramagnets

open access: yesAdvanced Physics Research, Volume 4, Issue 8, August 2025.
The study has developed a path integral method, which is a classical approach, combined with atomistic spin dynamics simulations to calculate thermal quantum expectation values. This method can handle Hamiltonians with non‐linear terms, which are important for describing uniaxial anisotropies and mechanical constraints.

Pole‐to‐Pole Vertical Ionospheric Profiles at Jupiter From JWST

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Space Physics, Volume 130, Issue 8, August 2025.
Abstract We present the first pole‐to‐pole observations of Jupiter's ionosphere, capturing dawn and dusk vertical structure up to 5,000 km altitude using the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST), simultaneous to Juno's radio occultation experiments (ROX) in September 2023.

Falsifying cosmological models based on a non-linear electrodynamics

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields, 2018
Recently, the nonlinear electrodynamics (NED) has been gaining attention to generate primordial magnetic fields in the Universe and also to resolve singularity problems. Moreover, recent works have shown the crucial role of the NED on the inflation. This

Advances in Radiative Heat Transfer: Bridging Far‐Field Fundamentals and Emerging Near‐Field Innovations

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 35, Issue 27, July 3, 2025.
This review synthesizes the evolution of radiative heat transfer, emphasizing the transition from far‐field to near‐field regimes. Traditional frameworks, such as Planck's law, are revisited alongside modern innovations like fluctuational electrodynamics. Applications span nanoscale thermal management, energy harvesting, and thermophotovoltaic systems.

Duality between the Deconfined Quantum-Critical Point and the Bosonic Topological Transition

open access: yesPhysical Review X, 2017
Recently, significant progress has been made in (2+1)-dimensional conformal field theories without supersymmetry. In particular, it was realized that different Lagrangians may be related by hidden dualities; i.e., seemingly different field theories may ...

GeoDGP: One‐Hour Ahead Global Probabilistic Geomagnetic Perturbation Forecasting Using Deep Gaussian Process

open access: yesSpace Weather, Volume 23, Issue 6, June 2025.
Abstract Accurately predicting the horizontal component of ground magnetic field perturbation (dBH ${B}_{H}$), a key quantity for calculating the geomagnetically induced currents (GICs), is crucial for assessing the space weather impact of geomagnetic disturbances.
