From Stochastic Optics to theWigner Formalism: The Role of the Vacuum Field in Optical Quantum Communication Experiments

open access: yesAtoms, 2019
TheWigner formalism in the Heisenberg picture constitutes a bridge that connects QuantumOptics to Stochastic Optics. The vacuum field appears explicitly in the formalism, and the wavelikeaspects of light are emphasised.

On the extended Stochastic Electrodynamics Interpretation of Quantum Mechanics

open access: yesJournal of Physics: Conference Series, 2019
An extended version of Stochastic Electrodynamics (SED) which provides an interpretation of Quantum Mechanics free of its preternatural aspects is reviewed briefly. In addition, recent simulations of the hydrogen ground state based on SED which have been

Two loop stress-energy tensor for inflationary scalar electrodynamics [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
We calculate the expectation value of the coincident product of two field strength tensors at two loop order in scalar electrodynamics on de Sitter background. The result agrees with the stochastic formulation which we have developed in a companion paper

Stochastic Processes

open access: yesGauge Integral Structures for Stochastic Calculus and Quantum Electrodynamics, 2018
Stochastic processes are probabilistic models of data streams such as speech, audio and video signals, stock market prices, and measurements of physical phenomena by digital sensors such as medical instruments, GPS receivers, or seismographs.

Supercritical Angle Fluorescence and Raman Techniques in Biophotonics

open access: yesLaser &Photonics Reviews, EarlyView.
Supercritical angle fluorescence (SAF) microscopy and supercritical angle Raman (SAR) spectroscopy have emerged as powerful tools in the field of biophotonics, enabling high‐resolution imaging and spectroscopy of biological specimens near interfaces. This review article provides a comprehensive overview of the principles, techniques, applications, and ...

Controlling Collective Quasiparticle Dynamics Beyond Decoherence in Topological Interfaces

open access: yesLaser &Photonics Reviews, EarlyView.
Gold nanoparticles placed above a deformed honeycomb plasmonic crystal couple to a chiral topological interface mode. The pseudospin‐split bands ψ+/ ψ− encode spin‐momentum locking, so emitters radiate directionally along the domain wall and share a common phase.

Reconfigurable Giant Nonreciprocity at Near‐Normal Incidence via Phase‐Change Magneto‐Optical Metagratings

open access: yesLaser &Photonics Reviews, EarlyView.
A phase‐change magneto‐optical metagrating combines GST switching with InAs guided‐mode resonances to achieve strong nonreciprocal absorption contrast near normal incidence. A static magnetic bias creates direction‐dependent resonant splitting, while GST crystallization quenches and latches the response.

Field‐Based Spatial Self‐Registration of Multicoil Hardware for B0 Field Control

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Medicine, Volume 96, Issue 3, Page 1474-1485, September 2026.
ABSTRACT Purpose To develop and validate a magnetic field‐based method for self‐registration of multicoil (MC) shim hardware in MRI systems, enabling accurate B0 field control despite nonreproducible hardware placement between calibration and experimental sessions.

Quantum electrodynamical formulation of photochemical acid generation and its implications on optical lithography

open access: yesETRI Journal
The photochemical acid generation is refined from the first principles of quan-tum electrodynamics. First, we briefly review the formulation of the quantum theory of light based on the quantum electrodynamics framework to establish the probability of ...

Femtosecond‐Laser Mould Texturing Enables Tunable Biointerfaces in COC Microfluidics

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, Volume 13, Issue 13, 7 July 2026.
Femtosecond‐laser texturing of injection‐mould inserts enables scalable engineering of biointerfaces in cyclic olefin copolymer microfluidics. Replicated micro‐ and nano‐topographies modulate surface roughness and wettability, leading to texture‐dependent protein adsorption and cell adhesion without chemical post‐processing.
