Error estimates of finite element methods for fractional stochastic Navier–Stokes equations

open access: yesJournal of Inequalities and Applications, 2018
Based on the Itô’s isometry and the properties of the solution operator defined by the Mittag-Leffler function, this paper gives a detailed numerical analysis of the finite element method for fractional stochastic Navier–Stokes equations driven by white ...

Non‐linear Stochastic Finite Element [PDF]

open access: yesPAMM, 2015
AbstractThis paper investigates the uncertainty of physically non‐linear problems by modeling the elastic random material parameters as stochastic fields. For its stochastic discretization a polynomial chaos (PC) is used to expand the coefficients into deterministic and stochastic parts.

Tough, Ductile, and Strong Hard‐Soft Cementitious Composite Enabled by Multi‐Material Additive Manufacturing

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Drawing inspiration from the layered hard‐soft architecture found in sea sponges, this work establishes a new framework for architected cementitious composites (ACC) through multi‐material additive manufacturing (MMAM) process. The integration of mortar and elastomer phases into layered architectures enables synergistic toughening mechanisms, including

Inaccuracies of deterministic finite-element models of human middle ear revealed by stochastic modelling

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2023
For over 40 years, finite-element models of the mechanics of the middle ear have been mostly deterministic in nature. Deterministic models do not take into account the effects of inter-individual variabilities on middle-ear parameters.

Weak convergence of the finite element method for semilinear parabolic SPDEs driven by additive noise

open access: yesResults in Applied Mathematics, 2023
This paper aims to investigate the finite element weak convergence rate for semilinear parabolic stochastic partial differential equations(SPDEs) driven by additive noise.

Universal Conductance Fluctuations in Quantum Anomalous Hall Insulators

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Universal conductance fluctuations are observed in mesoscopic quantum anomalous Hall insulators. Two distinct fluctuation patterns are identified, arising from different interference processes of bulk and chiral edge states, respectively. These findings unveil rich quantum interference phenomena in quantum anomalous Hall insulators and provide insights

STOCHASTIC FINITE ELEMENT MODEL UPDATING BASED ON POLYNOMIAL CHAOTIC EXPANSION AND KL DIVERGENCE

open access: yesJixie qiangdu, 2021
Considering the influence of structural parameter uncertainty on response and the problem of large calculation of stochastic model updating, a stochastic finite element model updating method based on polynomial chaotic expansion and KL divergence is ...

Room‐Temperature Skyrmionic Synapse in 2D Ferromagnet Fe3GaTe2 Operating via Collective Spin Texture Transformation

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
We demonstrate a neuromorphic synapse in 2D Fe3GaTe2 flakes. The device operates via a current‐driven transformation from a skyrmion‐lattice to a stripe‐domain state, yielding a linear anomalous Hall resistance response with a tunable slope to enable multiply‐accumulate operations. Simulations confirm its viability in artificial neural networks.

Calculating the Malliavin derivative of some stochastic mechanics problems.

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2017
The Malliavin calculus is an extension of the classical calculus of variations from deterministic functions to stochastic processes. In this paper we aim to show in a practical and didactic way how to calculate the Malliavin derivative, the derivative of

Thermal‐Driven Diode Polarity Switching From Competing Helical Superconducting States in WTe2/α‐Fe2O3 Heterostructures

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A Nb‐proximitized Josephson junction based on a WTe2/α‐Fe2O3 heterostructure exhibits a robust superconducting diode effect with programmable polarity. The diode direction can be trained by magnetic fields and switched by temperature cycling, revealing tunable finite‐momentum pairing states and competing superconducting states in symmetry‐broken ...
