PAK1 activation drives divergent resistance mechanisms to aromatase inhibition and tamoxifen in a luminal: A breast cancer model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Breast cancer remains a major cause of cancer death in women, frequently developing endocrine therapy resistance. This study demonstrates that upregulated p21‐activated kinase 1 (PAK1) activity drives resistance to tamoxifen and long‐term estrogen deprivation in ER+ breast cancer models.

Small RNA pathways in mammalian oocytes

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Three distinct small RNA pathways operate in mammalian oocytes: RNAi interference (RNAi), the microRNA (miRNA) pathway, and the PIWI‐associated RNA (piRNA) pathway. These pathways use small RNAs to guide sequence‐specific repression and contribute to oocyte biology by targeting genes and mobile elements or appear insignificant since different ...

A white noise approach to stochastic partial differential equations driven by the fractional Lévy noise

open access: yesAdvances in Difference Equations, 2018
In this paper, based on the white noise theory for d-parameter Lévy random fields given by (Holden et al. in Stochastic Partial Differential Equations: A modeling, white noise functional approach, 2010), we develop a white noise frame for anisotropic ...

Identification and characterisation of calcitonin receptor isoforms expressed in glioblastoma derived glioma stem and U‐87 MG cells

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Glioblastoma cells express calcitonin receptor variants (CT receptor isoforms) that may help them survive stress. Using qPCR, transcript‐specific long‐read nanopore sequencing, immunofluorescence co‐localisation and comparative sequence analysis, this study identifies a novel alternatively spliced CALCR transcript that encodes the CTb receptor isoform ...

Observer‐Based Adaptive Event‐Triggered Tracking Control for Fuzzy TS Systems With Premise Mismatch

open access: yesInternational Journal of Adaptive Control and Signal Processing, EarlyView.
This paper presents an adaptive logistic event‐triggered observer‐based tracking controller for Takagi‐Sugeno fuzzy systems under constrained inputs and network delays. Leveraging a hybrid LMI and Secretary Bird Optimization approach, this strategy significantly minimizes communication overhead and computational burden while ensuring optimal reference ...

dynoGP: Deep Gaussian Processes for Dynamic System Identification

open access: yesInternational Journal of Adaptive Control and Signal Processing, EarlyView.
This work introduces a novel class of deep models for system identification, dynamical deep Gaussian processes, which combine the strengths of data‐driven methods, such as those based on neural network architectures, with the ability to output a probability distribution for uncertainty representation.

Existence and Stability Results for Second-Order Neutral Stochastic Differential Equations With Random Impulses and Poisson Jumps

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Mathematical Analysis, 2021
The objective of this paper is to investigate the existence and stability results of secondorder neutral stochastic functional differential equations (NSFDEs) in Hilbert space.

Fostering Innovation: Streamlining Magnetocaloric Materials Research by Digitalization

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Magnetocaloric cooling (MCE) is an environmentally friendly refrigeration method with great potential. Optimizing MCE materials involves the preparation and screening of large quantities of samples, which in turn generates a large amount of data. A digitalization approach is presented that uses ontologies, knowledge graphs, and digital workflows to ...

On Weak and Strong Solutions of Paired Stochastic Functional Differential Equations in Infinite-Dimensional Spaces

open access: yesJournal of Optimization, Differential Equations and Their Applications, 2021
In this paper, we study the questions of the existence of global weak solutions and local strong solutions of paired stochastic functional differential equations in a Hilbert space, one of which is an equation with an unbounded operator, and the other is
