Comparative Analysis of Axlebox Accelerations in Correlation with Track Geometry Irregularities

open access: yesActa Technica Jaurinensis, 2019
Stochastic track irregularities influence additional dynamic forces developed in the vehicle-track interaction that lead to faster deterioration of track.

Stochastic Isometries in Quantum Mechanics [PDF]

open access: yesMathematical Physics, Analysis and Geometry 2 (1999) 83-106, 2013
The class of stochastic maps, that is, linear, trace-preserving, positive maps between the self-adjoint trace class operators of complex separable Hilbert spaces plays an important role in the representation of reversible dynamics and symmetry transformations.

Trans‐Conductive Melt Pool Scaling and its Implications for Parameter Transfer in Laser Powder Bed Fusion for Metals with High Thermal Diffusivity

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Developing process parameters for the laser‐based Powder Bed Fusion of metals can be a tedious task. Based on melt pool depth, the process parameters are transferable to different laser scan speeds. For this, understanding the melt pool scaling behavior is essential, particularly for materials with high thermal diffusivity, as a change in scaling ...

3GPP-Inspired Stochastic Geometry-Based Mobility Model for a Drone Cellular Network [PDF]

open access: yesGlobal Communications Conference, 2019
This paper deals with the stochastic geometry- based characterization of the time-varying performance of a drone cellular network in which the initial locations of drone base stations (DBSs) are modeled as a Poisson point process (PPP) and each DBS is ...

Nonlinearity and Domain Switching in a 3D‐Printed Architected Ferroelectric

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
By combining functional properties measurement with in situ 2D X‐ray microdiffraction experiments, it is shown that nonlinear polarization and strain responses of a 3D‐printed architected ferroelectric are driven by localized progression of domain switching, which depends on nonuniform electric‐field distribution as well as evolving stress fields.
