PAK1 activation drives divergent resistance mechanisms to aromatase inhibition and tamoxifen in a luminal: A breast cancer model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Breast cancer remains a major cause of cancer death in women, frequently developing endocrine therapy resistance. This study demonstrates that upregulated p21‐activated kinase 1 (PAK1) activity drives resistance to tamoxifen and long‐term estrogen deprivation in ER+ breast cancer models.

DERIVATION OF THE GENERALIZED TIME-INDEPENDENT SCHRÖDINGER EQUATION. THE NEW STOCHASTIC QUANTUM MECHANICS: “THINK AND CALCULATE”

open access: yesAvances en Ciencias e Ingeniería, 2020
The aim of the article is to obtain a stochastic equation that describes the averaged state of a chaotically wandering particle, regardless of its size.

Wellposedness and controllability results of stochastic integrodifferential equations with noninstantaneous impulses and Rosenblatt process

open access: yesFixed Point Theory and Algorithms for Sciences and Engineering, 2023
The purpose of this work is to investigate a novel class of noninstantaneous impulsive stochastic integrodifferential equations (SIDEs) driven by Brownian motion and Rosenblatt process. We construct a new set of adequate assumptions for the existence and

Splitting Integrators for the Stochastic Landau--Lifshitz Equation [PDF]

open access: yesSIAM Journal on Scientific Computing, 2016
Summary: In this article, we construct splitting integrators for a finite-dimensional version of the stochastic Landau-Lifshitz equation under the influence of global and local energy terms. The methods preserve the length of the magnetization spins exactly and reproduce the energy evolution of the equation.

Small RNA pathways in mammalian oocytes

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Three distinct small RNA pathways operate in mammalian oocytes: RNAi interference (RNAi), the microRNA (miRNA) pathway, and the PIWI‐associated RNA (piRNA) pathway. These pathways use small RNAs to guide sequence‐specific repression and contribute to oocyte biology by targeting genes and mobile elements or appear insignificant since different ...

Cubature Method for Stochastic Volterra Integral Equations

open access: yesSIAM Journal on Financial Mathematics, 2023
In this paper, we introduce the cubature formula for Stochastic Volterra Integral Equations. We first derive the stochastic Taylor expansion in this setting, by utilizing a functional Itô formula, and provide its tail estimates. We then introduce the cubature measure for such equations, and construct it explicitly in some special cases, including a ...

The adapted solution and comparison theorem for backward stochastic differential equations with Poisson jumps and applications

open access: yes, 2008
This paper deals with a class of backward stochastic differential equations with Poisson jumps and with random terminal times. We prove the existence and uniqueness result of adapted solution for such a BSDE under the assumption of non-Lipschitzian ...

Characterization of Defect Distribution in an Additively Manufactured AlSi10Mg as a Function of Processing Parameters and Correlations with Extreme Value Statistics

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Predicting extreme defects in additive manufacturing remains a key challenge limiting its structural reliability. This study proposes a statistical framework that integrates Extreme Value Theory with advanced process indicators to explore defect–process relationships and improve the estimation of critical defect sizes. The approach provides a basis for

Exponential integrators for the stochastic Manakov equation

open access: yesCoRR, 2020
This article presents and analyses an exponential integrator for the stochastic Manakov equation, a system arising in the study of pulse propagation in randomly birefringent optical fibers. We first prove that the strong order of the numerical approximation is $1/2$ if the nonlinear term in the system is globally Lipschitz-continuous. Then, we use this

Regularity of backward stochastic volterra integral equations in Hilbert spaces

open access: yes, 2010
This article investigates backward stochastic Volterra integral equations in Hilbert spaces. The existence and uniqueness of their adapted solutions is reviewed. We establish the regularity of the adapted solutions to such equations by means of Malliavin
