A Model for Risk Adjustment (IFRS 17) for Surrender Risk in Life Insurance
We propose a model for risk adjustment, in the context of IFRS 17, for surrender risk. Surrender rates are assumed to follow a stochastic process, underpinned by data.

Tracer diffusion and ‘chemical’ (atomic) ordering processes in two face-centred cubic (f.c.c.) binary systems mimicking Ni3Al and FePt were simulated by means of the kinetic mean-field (KMF) method originally proposed by G. Martin in 1990.

A Comparison of MLE for Some Index Distributions Based on Censored Samples
This paper elucidates the prerequisites for maximum likelihood estimation (MLE) of parameters within the exponential and scale parameter families. Estimation of these parameters is predicated on data derived from censored samples and seeks to adhere to ...

Simulating the progression of brain structural alterations in Parkinson’s disease
Considering brain structural alterations as neurodegenerative consequences of Parkinson's disease (PD), we sought to infer the progression of PD via the ordering of brain structural alterations from cross-sectional MRI observations.

A New Extended Geometric Distribution: Properties, Regression Model, and Actuarial Applications
In this paper, a new modified version of geometric distribution is proposed. The newly introduced model is called transmuted record type geometric (TRTG) distribution.

Time after time – circadian clocks through the lens of oscillator theory
Oscillator theory bridges physics and circadian biology. Damped oscillators require external drivers, while limit cycles emerge from delayed feedback and nonlinearities. Coupling enables tissue‐level coherence, and entrainment aligns internal clocks with environmental cues.

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.

LDAcoop: Integrating non‐linear population dynamics into the analysis of clonogenic growth in vitro
Limiting dilution assays (LDAs) quantify clonogenic growth by seeding serial dilutions of cells and scoring wells for colony formation. The fraction of negative wells is plotted against cells seeded and analyzed using the non‐linear modeling of LDAcoop.
