CORES OF STOCHASTIC COOPERATIVE GAMES WITH STOCHASTIC ORDERS

International Game Theory Review, 2002
In this paper we analyze cooperative games where the worth of a coalition is uncertain and the players only know their probability distribution. The novelty of our analysis is that the comparison among the uncertain values is done by stochastic orders among random variables.

STOCHASTIC ORDERINGS BETWEEN SPACINGS OF GENERALIZED ORDER STATISTICS

Probability in the Engineering and Informational Sciences, 2002
In this article, we establish stochastic comparisons between normalized spacings of generalized order statistics. These comparisons allow us to extend and unify some results obtained by other authors for ordinary order statistics and record values.

Some Shifted Stochastic Orders

2000
In this paper we study some known and some new shifted orders. We compare them, we obtain some basic properties of them, we derive some closure properties of them, and we show how they can be used for stochastic comparisons of order statistics; that is, of k-out-of-n systems.

Transformations of Stochastic Orderings

1994
Incomplete orderings of distributions are nowadays used routinely in the analysis of uncertainty, inequality, welfare and poverty. The popularity of these orderings - of which stochastic dominance and Lorenz dominance are the best known examples - is due to the fact that they distinguish those distributional rankings which are widely accepted from ...

Stochastic path-ordered exponentials

Journal of Mathematical Physics, 1984
We prove convergence of an approximation of the stochastic product integral for conditional Wiener paths to the solution of a certain stochastic integral equation. This is used to establish the Wiener–Itô representation for the kernel of the semigroup exp t ΔA, where ΔA =∑μ (∂μ1+Aμ)2 for functions Aμ with values in the space of anti-Hermitian matrices.

Uniform conditional stochastic order

Journal of Applied Probability, 1980
One probability measure is less than or equal to another in the sense of UCSO (uniform conditional stochastic order) if a standard form of stochastic order holds for each pair of conditional probability measures obtained by conditioning on appropriate subsets.
