On the Symmetry Importance in a Relative Entropy Analysis for Some Engineering Problems

open access: yes, 2022
This paper aims at certain theoretical studies and additional computational analysis on symmetry and its lack in Kullback-Leibler and Jeffreys probabilistic divergences related to some engineering applications.

Probabilistic analysis of random nonlinear oscillators subject to small perturbations via probability density functions: Theory and computing [PDF]

open access: yes, 2021
[EN] We study a class of single-degree-of-freedom oscillators whose restoring function is affected by small nonlinearities and excited by stationary Gaussian stochastic processes.

Response Statistics of a Shape Memory Alloy Oscillator with Random Excitation

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2021
This paper aimed to explore analytically the influences of random excitation on a shape memory alloy (SMA) oscillator. Firstly, on the basis of the deterministic SMA model under a harmonic excitation, we introduce a stochastic SMA model with a narrow ...

Stochastic Reliability-Based Design Optimization Framework for the Steel Plate Girder with Corrugated Web Subjected to Corrosion

open access: yes, 2022
This paper proposes the framework for reliability-based design optimization (RBDO) of structural elements with an example based on the corrugated web I-girder. It tackles the problem of topological optimization of corroding structures with uncertainties.

Observer‐Based Adaptive Event‐Triggered Tracking Control for Fuzzy TS Systems With Premise Mismatch

open access: yesInternational Journal of Adaptive Control and Signal Processing, EarlyView.
This paper presents an adaptive logistic event‐triggered observer‐based tracking controller for Takagi‐Sugeno fuzzy systems under constrained inputs and network delays. Leveraging a hybrid LMI and Secretary Bird Optimization approach, this strategy significantly minimizes communication overhead and computational burden while ensuring optimal reference ...

A Novel Stochastic Approach for Static Damage Identification of Beam Structures Using Homotopy Analysis Algorithm

open access: yesSensors, 2021
This paper proposes a new damage identification approach for beam structures with stochastic parameters based on uncertain static measurement data. This new approach considers not only the static measurement errors, but also the modelling error of the ...

All‐in‐One Analog AI Hardware: On‐Chip Training and Inference with Conductive‐Metal‐Oxide/HfOx ReRAM Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
An all‐in‐one analog AI accelerator is presented, enabling on‐chip training, weight retention, and long‐term inference acceleration. It leverages a BEOL‐integrated CMO/HfOx ReRAM array with low‐voltage operation (<1.5 V), multi‐bit capability over 32 states, low programming noise (10 nS), and near‐ideal weight transfer.
