FSPNs: Fluid stochastic Petri nets
1993In this paper we introduce a new class of stochastic Petri nets in which one or more places can hold fluid rather than discrete tokens. After defining the class of fluid stochastic Petri nets, we provide equations for their transient and steady-state behavior. We give two application examples.

Tagged Generalized Stochastic Petri Nets
2009This paper introduces an extension of the Generalized Stochastic Petri Net (GSPN) formalism in order to enable the computation of first passage time distributions of tokens. A "tagged token" technique is used which relies on net's structural properties to guide the correct specification of this extension.
