Initial State Privacy of Nonlinear Systems on Riemannian Manifolds
ABSTRACT In this paper, we investigate initial state privacy protection for discrete‐time nonlinear closed systems. By capturing Riemannian geometric structures inherent in such privacy challenges, we refine the concept of differential privacy through the introduction of an initial state adjacency set based on Riemannian distances.

ABSTRACT Declining natural resources, rising production costs, and diminishing returns from input‐intensive practices threaten the sustainability of smallholder rice systems in Bangladesh. Using a primal system approach and survey data from 1869 rice‐producing households, this study evaluates technical and allocative inefficiency across major agro ...

A Process Algebra For Stochastic Music Composition
The Musical Weighted Synchronous Calculus of Communicating Systems (MWSCCS) process algebra is presented. The algebra permits the design of stochastic automata which perform a variety of musically interesting behaviours, including both vertical and ...

T‐800: An 800 Hz Data Glove for Precise Hand Gesture Tracking
Hand motion capture provides critical insights into human dexterity and facilitates advancements in robotic manipulation, yet existing systems are limited by a trade‐off between temporal resolution and visual occlusion. Here, the authors present T‐800, a high‐bandwidth data glove achieving synchronized full‐hand motion capturing at 800 Hz.

ABSTRACT Structural mechanics field simulation plays a critical role in the vibration characteristic analysis of electrical equipment. Existing structural field analysis of equipment based on numerical simulation faces challenges such as convergence difficulties and prolonged computational time, failing to meet the demand for real‐time prediction of ...

ABSTRACT We develop a framework for regulated production systems where output generation and pollution abatement impose competing technological demands. Using a multi‐ware technology, we model the production set as the intersection of two input requirement frontiers, one for production and one for abatement, each reflecting distinct trade‐offs.

Splitting of Conditional Expectations and Liftings in Product Spaces II
Let (X,A,P) and (Y,B,Q) be two probability spaces, R be their skew product on the product σ-algebra A⊗B and {(Ay,Sy):y∈Y} be a Q-disintegration of R. Then, let A⋇B be the σ-algebra generated A⊗B and by the family M:={E⊂X×Y:∃N∈B0∀y∉NSy^(Ey)=0} and R⋇ be ...

A Continuous Time GARCH Process of Higher Order [PDF]
A continuous time GARCH model of order (p,q) is introduced, which is driven by a single Lévy process. It extends many of the features of discrete time GARCH(p,q) processes to a continuous time setting.

Why did Putin invade Ukraine? A theory of degenerate autocracy
Abstract Many dictatorships end up with a series of disastrous decisions such as Hitler's attack on the Soviet Union or Saddam Hussein's aggression against Kuwait. Even if a certain policy choice is not ultimately fatal for the regime, such as Mao's Big Leap Forward or the Pol Pot's collectivization drive, they typically involve both a miscalculation ...
