Electricity Procurement for Large Consumers with Second Order Stochastic Dominance Constraints

open access: yesIranian Journal of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, 2012
This paper presents a decision making approach for mid-term scheduling of large industrial consumers based on the recently introduced class of Stochastic Dominance (SD)- constrained stochastic programming. In this study, the electricity price in the pool

Resolving Heterogeneity of Targeted Lipid Nanoparticles Through Solution‐Based Biophysical Analyses

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
AF4‐UV‐DLS‐MALS‐SAXS resolves previously inaccessible targeted lipid nanoparticle (tLNP) subpopulations that differ in size, shape, and composition. Correlation of subpopulation‐resolved biophysical properties with in vivo RNA delivery reveals that targeted placental transfection is associated with distinct tLNP subpopulations rather than ensemble ...

Expected Duration of Dynamic Markov PERT Networks

open access: yesInternational Journal of Industrial Engineering and Production Research, 2007
: In this paper , we apply the stochastic dynamic programming to approximate the mean project completion time in dynamic Markov PERT networks. It is assumed that the activity durations are independent random variables with exponential distributions, but ...

Analysis and Impact of Data‐Driven Hourly Probability Distribution Functions in Microgrids Day‐Ahead Energy Management under Uncertainties: A Case Study in New South Wales, Australia

open access: yesIET Renewable Power Generation
Microgrids are critical for achieving smart grid objectives, enhancing reliability, resilience, and supplying under‐served areas. However, day‐ahead scheduling of generating resources remains challenging due to uncertainties inherent in renewable energy ...

From Payload‐First Toward Dual‐Mechanism Antibody–Drug Conjugates

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Conjugation converts potent antibodies into underexposed carriers. This perspective defines the antibody exposure deficit and maps a mechanism‐first design space from payload‐first to antibody‐first ADC architectures, integrating DAR, linker chemistry, and Fc engineering to guide rational design of constructs that balance targeted cytotoxicity with ...

Noise‐Tunable Memristor Enabling Programmable Probabilistic Neurons for Frequency‐Selective Time‐Series Signal Encoding

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Memristors offer tunable resistance and intrinsic instability, making them promising tunable noise sources. We propose a spiking‐rate‐programmable probabilistic neuron using a Ru/TaOx/Pt memristor, where resistance‐dependent noise enables frequency‐selective encoding.

Flax Composites With Improved Interfacial Strength Through Microbially Induced Mineral Precipitation

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A bio‐inspired biomineralization strategy introduces an additional hierarchy to flax fiber composites. By controlling microbe‐mediated mineral particle deposition through tuned salt concentrations, stress transfer within the natural fiber composite is enhanced.
