Using femtosecond ablation, we show that an ordered, stoichiometric crystalline PdSe2 target can be controllably converted into a stable, disordered, non‐stoichiometric, and highly functional amorphous nanomaterial, PdSe2−x${\rm PdSe}_{2-x}$. The obtained nanoparticles offer significant advantages over conventional planar plasmon‐free substrates due to

Stochastic Resonance in a simple model of magnetic reversals
We discuss the effect of stochastic resonance in a simple model of magnetic reversals. The model exhibits statistically stationary solutions and bimodal distribution of the large scale magnetic field.

Advanced Design for Weakly Coupled Resonators by Automatic Active Optimization
An Automatic Active Optimization (AAO) strategy integrates machine learning predictors and genetic algorithms in a closed‐loop workflow. By iteratively expanding its dataset with new discoveries, AAO overcomes the limits of conventional methods. This approach finds superior microstructural designs beyond the initial sample space. We demonstrate this on

Delayed-feedback chimera states: Forced multiclusters and stochastic resonance
A nonlinear oscillator model with negative time-delayed feedback is studied numeri- cally under external deterministic and stochastic forcing. It is found that in the unforced system complex partial synchronization patterns like chimera states as well as

Theory of non-Markovian Stochastic Resonance
We consider a two-state model of non-Markovian stochastic resonance (SR) within the framework of the theory of renewal processes. Residence time intervals are assumed to be mutually independent and characterized by some arbitrary non-exponential ...

Stochastic resonance (SR) - a counter-intuitive phenomenon in which the signal due to a weak periodic force in a nonlinear system can be {\it enhanced} by the addition of external noise - is reviewed. A theoretical approach based on linear response theory (LRT) is described.

High‐Quality Free‐Standing Diamond Micromembranes for Nanoscale Quantum Sensing
We report a procedure for fabricating low‐damage free‐standing diamond micromembranes, and we show that this fabrication scheme preserves the optical and spin properties of state‐of‐the‐art shallow NV center quantum sensors, within nanometers of the diamond surface, while providing significant photonic enhancement.
