Stochastic Dynamics of Nonlinear Piezoelectric Vibration Energy Harvesting System with Inelastic Impact [PDF]
Because the introduction of a vibro-impact structure can widen the bandwidth and improve the harvesting efficiency of the vibration energy harvesting (VEH) systems, an analytical method for a VEH system based on vibro-impact is proposed to employ the ...

Faults Modeling in Networked Environment and Its Tolerant Control with Multiple Simultaneous Faults
This paper presents two new fault models for networked systems. These fault models are more realistic and generalized for networked systems in the sense that they can represent the effects of fault at the node and network levels.

Stochasticity and evolutionary stability [PDF]
In stochastic dynamical systems, different concepts of stability can be obtained in different limits. A particularly interesting example is evolutionary game theory, which is traditionally based on infinite populations, where strict Nash equilibria correspond to stable fixed points that are always evolutionarily stable.

Robust stochastic stability [PDF]
A strategy profile of a game is called robustly stochastically stable if it is stochastically stable for a given behavioral model independently of the specification of revision opportunities and tie-breaking assumptions in the dynamics. We provide a simple radius-coradius result for robust stochastic stability and examine several applications.

Competing Conventions with Costly Information Acquisition
We consider an evolutionary model of social coordination in a 2 × 2 game where two groups of players prefer to coordinate on different actions. Players can pay a cost to learn their opponent’s group: if they pay it, they can condition their actions ...

The two-mode-dependent controller design problem for networked Markov system with time-delay in both S/C link and C/A link is investigated in this paper. Two independent Markov chains are used to describe the time-delay in S/C link and C/A link.

This paper investigates the problem of state feedback controller design for discrete-time Markovian jump systems (MJSs) with time delay and two Markov chains under partly known transition probabilities. First, by constructing improved Lyapunov-Krasovskii
