MODAL ANALYSIS AND VERIFICATION PERFORMED TO CYCLIC SYMMETRIC STRUCTURES BASED ON STOCHASTIC SUBSPACE IDENTIFICATION

open access: yesJixie qiangdu, 2016
To determine whether stochastic subspace identification( SSI) based on the output-only measurements can identify the doublet modes of cyclic symmetric structures accurately, taking a brake disc as an example, modal analysis based on SSI and traditional ...

Long-Term Structural Health Monitoring of Kashima Lighthouse

open access: yesBuildings
The Kashima Lighthouse, one of the lighthouses that suffered damage in the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake, required a careful investigation to estimate its long-term behavior and seismic vulnerability.

Ultrafast Nonadiabatic Dynamics of Tetraphenyl‐substituted Nitrogen‐Based Heterocycles

open access: yesSmall Structures, Volume 7, Issue 8, August 2026.
Two molecules share four phenyl substituents but differ in their core (pyrazine vs. pyrrole), leading to very different emission behavior. One becomes highly emissive upon aggregation, while the other emits similarly in solution and solid states.

To Grandmother's House We Go: Informal Childcare and Female Labor Mobility

open access: yesInternational Economic Review, Volume 67, Issue 3, Page 1043-1068, August 2026.
ABSTRACT We document how childcare costs and the location of extended family influence the labor supply and mobility of US women. Women return to their home locations immediately before fertility events, suggesting that informal childcare needs may motivate home migration. Women who live near their parents have lower child earnings penalties.

Application of Covariance Driven Stochastic Subspace Identification Method

open access: yes, 2022
In this research the application of output-only system identification technique known as Stochastic Subspace Identification (SSI) algorithms in civil structures is carried out. With the aim of finding accurate modal parameters of the structure in off-line analysis, a stabilization diagram is constructed by plotting the identified poles of the system ...

Machine Learning of Personal Repertoires From Public T Cell Receptors

open access: yesImmunological Reviews, Volume 341, Issue 1, August 2026.
ABSTRACT The T‐cell receptor (TCR) repertoire records an individual's immunological history, but most unique CDR3 sequences in any one person are private and uninformative about anyone else. A small subset, however, recurs predictably across unrelated donors.

Modal Identification Method of Offshore Wind Turbine Tower Based on SSI and FSDPC

open access: yesShock and Vibration
The structural health monitoring of offshore wind turbine towers is critical for ensuring their operational integrity. The condition of the tower structure is characterized by its modal parameters, which serve as effective health indicators.

Structural Health Monitoring of Steel Garage Model with Stochastic Subspace Identification–Covariance Variance Analysis

open access: yesBuildings
Traditional methods of determining structural dynamic parameters produce destructive and unreliable results. Therefore, in this study, operational modal analysis method, which is a non-destructive and advanced method, was used to determine structural ...

On Metric Choice in Dimension Reduction for Fréchet Regression

open access: yesInternational Statistical Review, Volume 94, Issue 2, Page 325-346, August 2026.
Summary Fréchet regression is becoming a mainstay in modern data analysis for analysing non‐traditional data types belonging to general metric spaces. This novel regression method is especially useful in the analysis of complex health data such as continuous monitoring and imaging data.

Inference on the Attractor Space via Functional Approximation

open access: yesOxford Bulletin of Economics and Statistics, Volume 88, Issue 4, Page 643-657, August 2026.
ABSTRACT This paper discusses semiparametric inference on hypotheses on the cointegration and the attractor spaces for I(1) linear processes with moderately large cross‐sectional dimension. The approach is based on sample canonical correlations and functional approximation of Brownian motions, and it can be applied both to the whole system and or to ...
