Stochastic Modeling of Transcription Factor Binding Fluctuations

open access: yes, 2004
Cell populations typically exhibit binary or graded transcriptional responses to external stimuli. Transcription factor interactions with DNA have been hypothesized to account for both of these scenarios.

Robotic Leg Prosthesis: A Survey From Dynamic Model to Adaptive Control for Gait Coordination

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Neural Systems and Rehabilitation Engineering
Gait coordination (GC), meaning that one leg moves in the same pattern but with a specific phase lag to the other, is a spontaneous behavior in the walking of a healthy person. It is also crucial for unilateral amputees with the robotic leg prosthesis to

Detecting an Unknown Abrupt Change in the Band Center of the Fast-Fluctuating Gaussian Random Process

open access: yesMeasurement Science Review, 2020
The generalized maximum likelihood algorithm is introduced for detecting the abrupt change in the band center of a fast-fluctuating Gaussian random process with the uniform spectral density.

All‐in‐One Analog AI Hardware: On‐Chip Training and Inference with Conductive‐Metal‐Oxide/HfOx ReRAM Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
An all‐in‐one analog AI accelerator is presented, enabling on‐chip training, weight retention, and long‐term inference acceleration. It leverages a BEOL‐integrated CMO/HfOx ReRAM array with low‐voltage operation (<1.5 V), multi‐bit capability over 32 states, low programming noise (10 nS), and near‐ideal weight transfer.

Intermediate Resistive State in Wafer‐Scale Vertical MoS2 Memristors Through Lateral Silver Filament Growth for Artificial Synapse Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In MOCVD MoS2 memristors, a current compliance‐regulated Ag filament mechanism is revealed. The filament ruptures spontaneously during volatile switching, while subsequent growth proceeds vertically through the MoS2 layers and then laterally along the van der Waals gaps during nonvolatile switching.

Control of Three-Phase Two-Level Inverters: A Stochastic LPV Model Approach

open access: yesEnergies
This paper proposes a stochastic linear parameter-varying (LPV) model approach to design a state feedback controller for three-phase, two-level inverters.

Integration of Low‐Voltage Nanoscale MoS2 Memristors on CMOS Microchips

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This article presents the first monolithic integration of nanoscale MoS2‐based memristors into the back‐end‐of‐line of foundry‐fabricated CMOS microchips in a one‐transistor‐one‐resistor (1T1R) architecture. The MoS2‐based 1T1R cells exhibit forming‐free, nonvolatile resistive switching with ultra‐low operating voltages, low cycle‐to‐cycle variability ...

Thermally Pre‐Formed Reconfigurable Resistive Random‐Access Memory Crossbar Arrays: A Dual‐Mode Platform for Robust Physically Unclonable Functions and In‐Memory Computing

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A reconfigurable RRAM platform utilizing thermally pre‐formed filaments (TPFs) is developed to realize robust hardware security. By exploiting the thermodynamic stochasticity of TPFs, exceptionally reliable physically unclonable functions (PUFs) are achieved.
