Research on Vehicle Routing Problem with Stochastic Demand and PSO-DP Algorithm with Inver-over Operator

Systems Engineering - Theory & Practice, 2008
Abstract The vehicle routing problem (VRP) with stochastic demand was discussed in this article. The PSO (Particle swarm optimization)-DP (Dynamic programming) algorithm with Inver-over operator was provided to find the priori tour with the minimal expected cost. PSO with Inver-over operator was used to optimize the priori tour.

Iterative stochastic methods for solving variational problems of mathematical physics and operations research

Journal of Mathematical Sciences, 1994
This is a survey concerning the most appropriate numerical methods in nonsmooth and stochastic optimization. It contains the main results in the above field obtained by the author from 1974 up to 1992: the combined method of iterative integral penalty and stochastic quasigradients for semi-infinite optimization, the combined method of iterative penalty,

Two approaches for solving a continuous location problem: Stochastic geometry and Operational Research

2007
When a network operator has to decide on the location of network facilities on a territory, realdata has to be considered in order to optimize the locations. The amount of data can be reallyhuge: for example thousands of connected subscribers can be considered for a specific area.
