Fractality of profit landscapes and validation of time series models for stock prices

open access: yes, 2013
We apply a simple trading strategy for various time series of real and artificial stock prices to understand the origin of fractality observed in the resulting profit landscapes.

Cleavage‐Resistant CYLD Protects Against Autoimmune Hepatitis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Proteolytic cleavage of the deubiquitinase CYLD emerges as a critical driver of autoimmune hepatitis. TNFα‐induced CYLD loss in macrophages amplifies S100A9‐triggered MAPK activation, leading to excessive chemokine production and hepatic inflammation. Pharmacological inhibition of MEK signaling effectively attenuates experimental disease, highlighting ...

MDP25‐VDAC3 Complex Orchestrates Actin Remodeling and Mitochondrial Dynamics to Modulate Innate Immunity in Arabidopsis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study reveals that actin remodeling regulates mitochondrial elongation as a defense strategy in plants. Flagellin perception induces fusion‐dependent elongation, supported by cortical actin bundles, to repair damage and boost ATP and ROS production.

Price Earnings Ratio and Stock Return Analysis (Evidence from Liquidity 45 Stocks Listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange)

open access: yesJurnal Manajemen dan Wirausaha, 2012
Price to Earnings Ratio (PE Ratio) has been broadly used by analysts and investors for stock selection. Stocks with low PE ratio are perceived as having cheaper current price hence expected to generate higher return in subsequent period.

Polish stock market and some foreign markets – dependence analysis by copulas [PDF]

open access: yes
By applying copulas the examination was carried out to find out whether trading volume, stock return and return volatility are pairwise dependent. In the investigations it was shown that there exists a close relationship between these variables on the ...

MicroRNA‐375‐3p Targets Fatty Acid Synthase and Relish to Regulate Energy Allocation During Pupal Metamorphosis and Starvation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
During pupal metamorphosis and starvation, elevated 20‐hydroxyecdysone (20E) and suppressed insulin trigger Forkhead box O (FOXO) nuclear translocation, enhancing miR‐375‐3p expression. This downregulates fatty acid synthase (FASN) and Relish, promoting lipid breakdown for energy while prioritizing antioxidant responses over immune functions to support

Macroeconomic Volatility and Stock Market Volatility, World-Wide [PDF]

open access: yes
Notwithstanding its impressive contributions to empirical financial economics, there remains a significant gap in the volatility literature, namely its relative neglect of the connection between macroeconomic fundamentals and asset return volatility.

Fermented Lacticaseibacillus Paracasei Cultures Ameliorate Colitis by Modulating Microbiota‐Derived Tryptophan Metabolism and Macrophage Polarization

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A solid‐state fermented probiotic (PYW) is developed using wheat bran as substrate, containing high viable Lacticaseibacillus paracasei and bioactive metabolites. PYW alleviates intestinal inflammation by gut microbiota composition, enriching indole derivatives, activating aryl hydrocarbon receptor signaling, and regulating macrophage polarization. PYW

Engineered GM1 Intersects Between Mitochondrial and Synaptic Pathways to Ameliorate ALS Pathology

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) is a fatal neurodegenerative disease driven by genetic and molecular disruptions affecting energy balance, protein homeostasis, and stress responses in nerve cells. Studies using human and rodent models identified convergent defects in mitochondria and synaptic function.
